Hundreds of individuals and people from groups such as the Stop the War Coalition, Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs and Labour Against the War gathered at 10am to greet the MPs arriving for the debate in parliament.

People stayed throughout the day and at 6pm there was a vigil to maintain the visibility of the opposition to the war.

An announcement was made about the peace camp just set up at the Imperial War Museum and loads of leaflets given out for saturdays national anti-war demo in london (see  http://www.stopwar.org.uk) There were quite a few cops present and as usual the police had their cameras there to take pictures of the protestors.
