Anticapitalist Bloc threat forces Army event postponement?

antiwar | 23.09.2002 15:19

Elements within the Anticapitalist Bloc on the September 28th anti-war demonstration had plans to disrupt the "Operation: London Soldier" Army recruitment event in Central London on the 28th and 29th.

A couple of days ago the event time was changed to September 27th and 29th, and although their website and some posters have been updated, their tube ads still advertise the date of the 28th.

Of course we can only speculate as to whether intelligence or simple common sense led to the day-change of this event, but still the Anticapitalist Bloc will be going ahead.

Bring ideas and creativity as well as flags and props! Meet-up at 1pm at Cleopatra's Needle near Embankment tube under the Anticapitalist Bloc banner.
