ANTONIUS CLIFFUS JNR = Palestinian Propagandist.

Peace | 22.09.2002 02:53

Read below

ANTONIUS CLIFFUS JNR says, In the past the PLO advocated a One State Solution, Jews and Arabs would live together in equality in one state.

What's so wrong with that?

However, because this proved unacceptable to Israeli Jews, and because they did not have the means to achieve the political goal of one, secular democratic state for all peoples, in 1988 the PLO committed itself to a 2 state solution, Israel and Palestine side by side.

I personally disagree with that solution.

You are such a liar.

So who is to blame for the problems of the Mideast? Leaders of Palestinian terrorist groups who send their suicide bombers to blow up women and children, or the leaders of Israel who are merely doing their best to ensure that their people can live without the constant threat of Palestinian terrorism?

The real villains are the Arab terrorists. These terrorists who blow up civilians and children, who want to live in peace.

The real villain is Arafat, who has the power to stop the violence by putting away the leaders of the Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and of every faction that calls for the destruction of Israel. He does not do it ofcourse, because he is no different, because he himself orders terrorist attacks and he himself wants to see Israel destroyed. It is villains like Arafat that the UN conference is supporting. It is Arafat that world leaders embrace, shaking the hand that is still dripping with the blood of innocent women and children.

The world should single out Palestinian terrorist groups, for atrocities that they committed and continue to commit. These terrorists openly flaunt their actions.
They are proud of blowing up teenagers and shoppers and yet very few people outside Israel are calling for their indictment and punishment.
These terrorists are the ones who should be indicted, for they are the real criminals whose guilt is beyond reasonable doubt.

This is what Arafat wants.

Arafat's speech in Sweden in 1996.
Arafat’s speech in front of 40 Arab diplomats in the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, on January 30, 1996. Was called "The Impending Collapse of Israel".

"We will take over everything including all of Jerusalem," he declared repeatedly. Arafat's plan has two main components aimed to cause the Jews to abandon Israel. "Within five years we will have six to seven million Arabs living on the West Bank and in Jerusalem. Arafat explained that this will be the beginning of a pressure campaign resulting within a few years in Israel's ultimate destruction. "You understand that we plan to eliminate the State of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian State. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion; Jews will not want to live among us Arabs!"

On the same day in 1993 on which Yasser Arafat signed the Declaration of
Principles on the White House lawn, he spoke the following words on Jordan TV:
"Since we cannot defeat Israel in war we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel."

Faisal Hussein a week before he died did an interview with the Egyptian publication Al-Arabi', June 24, 2001.
Husseini said in the interview that the Intifada "could have been much better, broader, and more significant had we made it clearer to ourselves that the Oslo agreement, or any other agreement, is just a temporary procedure, or just a step towards something bigger.

"We distinguish the strategic, long-term goals from the political-phased goals, which we are compelled to temporarily accept due to international pressure," Husseini said.

"[Palestine], according to the higher strategy, [is] 'from the river to the sea,'" he said referring to a common description of Israel. 'Palestine in its entirety is an Arab land, the land of the Arab nation."

It was Arafat and his colleagues who brought terrorism to world attention, setting in motion the new notion of hijacking and blowing up airplanes in the 1970's. He even did the original four jet explosion trick in the Jordanian Desert in September 1970. Bin Laden was just following the lead of Yasser Terrorfat

Israel's children are the target of Middle East terror campaign By Nolan Finley / The Detroit News

The ugly little secret of the Middle East conflict is that a favorite target of Palestinian terrorists are Israeli children, teen-agers and young adults. They are intentionally killing Israel's kids.

The slaughter is carried out by cold-hearted murderers who search for Bar Mitzvahs, pizzeria's, cafe's, teen discos, wedding parties, family restaurants -- any place likely to draw young people -- before touching off their suicide bombs. And it is being done without the world condemnation that such a heinous campaign should provoke.

It is a deliberate and despicable effort to accelerate the demoralization of the Israeli people and force them to accept compromises that may leave the nation far less secure.
"It's a way of killing the future, and of raising the temperature -- what is more painful than the funerals of the young?," says Stewart Schoffman, a father, former New Yorker and columnist with the Jerusalem Report.

Schoffman says he and his fellow Israelis now try to keep their children always within sight and are reluctant to take them to crowded, public places.

There is a clear moral difference between intentionally targeting children for killing and accidentally killing children in a military engagement. The Palestinians wake up, knowing there goal is to kill as many Israeli kids as
possible. While an Israeli wakes up, hoping to kill the Palestinian terrorist that have killed so many Israeli civilians.

It is difficult to understand how Palestinian parents can grieve over children killed by Israeli gunfire, while celebrating the deaths of children they themselves brainwash and turn into human bombs.
The late Golda Meir once said, peace would come, when Arabs love their children more than they love killing Jews.

Arabs are killers

Antonius, Your lies about Sharon, are no different then the Arab fairy tale about the Jews behind behind the WTC bombing. Sharon had nothing to do with the killings at Sabra and Chatilla. The person who ordered the killings, was Elie Hobeika, not Ariel Sharon. Hobeika was rewarded by Assad for his actions an put in the Lebanese parliament. As you know, right after Sabra and Chatilla, Hobeika switched sides to the Syrians. It was then learned by Hobeika's bodyguard, Roger Hatem, Elie Hobeika was a Syrian agent in the 82 War. Roger Hatem wrote a book called, from Israel to Damascus. You can read the book on his website.  http://www.israeltodamascus.com/ Hatem documents, how Hobeika ordered the killings at Sabra and Chatilla to make Israel look bad, so Syria could control Lebanon. The only reason why the Christians went along with Hobeika's orders, was to avenge the thousands of Christians, who were killed by the PLO in Damour Lebanon and because the Lebanese Christian President Gamayel was just killed.

2nd, in 1985, the Syrian backed Amals Shiites, attacked the same Sabra camp and killed 650 Arabs. Ofcourse when Arabs kill each other, no one cares. What Hatem documents in his book. Sharon told Hobeika, only to go after the armed PLO gunman in Sabra. Sharon made very clear to Hobeika, not to target any civilians. Hobeika agreed to the orders. Then Hobeika gave his own orders to his men. Kill anyone they see in Sabra. Hobeika did this, to make Israel look bad, so Syria could control Lebanon.

If the Arabs are so concerned about the people killed in Sabra and Chatilla, why did Syria and Lebanon protect the person who ordered the killings. (Elie Hobeika). Why did Syria put Hobeika in the Lebanese parliament? Why didn't Syria or Lebanon prosecute Hobeika? Maybe there worred, he might tell the truth. Which is, Hobeika under orders from Assad was responsible. What you had in Sabra and Chatilla was Arabs killing Arabs. Sound familiar.
Examples of how Arab Dictatorships and Muslim Countries react to violence. When the PLO tried this tactic of terror against King Hussein in 1970. Unlike Israel, Hussein used full force against the PLO Terror. In one week, 20,000 Arabs killed each other.
1 million Muslims kill each other in the Iran Iraq War.
100,000 Algerians have butchered each other since 1992.
150,000 Lebanese kill each other in there 15 year civil war.
Saddam gasses and kills 180,000 Kurds. Click on this link, to learn what happened to the Kurds.  http://www.halabja.org/HRIphotos.htm
1 and half million Black Christians massacred in Sudan, by the Arabs in North Sudan.
In Indonesia, 300,000 East Timories murdered by Indonesia.
Assad Butchers 22,000 of his own people in Hama Syria in 1982.
Thousands of tourists massacred in Egypt since 1992.
125,000 Afghanistans kill each other since 1989
Pakistan kills 2 million Bangladeshi muslims in 1971.
The PLO kills thousands of Christian Lebanese in Damour Lebanon in 1976.
Syria, Assad in 1980, Jails 600 opposition forces. 6 months later, he tells them, they could all leave there Jail cells. As they leave the Jails, Assad has his military massacre all 600 people.
During the 8-year war between Iran and Iraq, Iran sent children (holding tickets to Muslim Paradise) running across minefields to clear the way for the Iranian soldiers.

The Arab nations and Arafat in particular cynically use their own civilians as human shields by putting children, women and unarmed men in harms' way. They deliberately enlisted them to become involuntary extensions of their planned violence, especially when the televised 'war' shows children and women as victims and martyrs.

Within the 52-year conflict between the Arab nations and Israel, documented history indicates that civilians were consistently used by the Arabs in various ways to advance the war goals of the Arab nations. Civilians were often used as 'Human Shields' just like those the American soldiers faced in Vietnam. The use of civilian Human Shields was fairly common in the Arab wars against Israel. Why is it that the PLO or other terrorist groups, who hide and fire from civilian areas are never blamed? Did I forget to mention, an Egyptian pilot crashes a plane and kills 216 people in 1999.

Interesting that at the precise moment Sharon is destroying Arafat's administration - and thus any chance of him stopping suicide bombings - you post a personalised rant of which Goebbels would approve.

You lie like a true fanatic, just like Ariel Sharon who, incidently, was found "personally responsible" by the Israeli committee of enquiry into the slaughter of civilians at Sabra & Shatila.

Israel celebrated that massacre by electing him President, the last in a long line of terrorist hero's for Israeli extremists. You know, like Menachem Begin, who deliberately killed civilians by blowing up public buildings. It also has a fine pedigree suppporting terrorist regimes like apartheid South Africa, Turkey, Iran and Pinochet's Chile.

The zionist fantasy zone you are trying to create overlooks basic facts like Israel's illegal occupation, countless breaches of UN resolutions and the Likud Party decision to "never grant the Palestinians a state". Just like the mainstream media we come here to avoid.

But why let reality get in the way?

Anyone interested in the views of Israeli's/Jews who don't share "Peace's" 2+2=5 perversion of reality might try -

Auntie Beeb, you are a liar. The Kahan commission didn't find Sharon Guilty. They found Elie Hobeika the Syrian agent guilty. He was the one who ordered the killings. What the Kahan commision said, that Sharon should have had better knowledge of what Hobeika wanted to do. Where are the Arab commisions on all the atrocities they commit. Oh I forgot, there all dicatorships. On the other hand, this is who the Palestinians elect. Yasser Terrorfat, who tried to overthrow King Hussein's goverment in 1970, which led to 20,000 Arabs being killed. Then you say, Israel is destroying Arafat's administration and preventing him from stopping suicide bombings. hahahah, that would be like me saying, by America going after Mullah Omar, they are preventing him from stopping Bin Laden from committing any more terrorist acts. Arafat is no different then Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Most of the suicide bombings against Israeli woman and children are coming from his own organization. You see, Arafat thinks by commiting mass murder against Israeli civilians, Jews will leave Israel and Israel will become the 22nd Islamic Arab terrorist state. The documents Israel found in Ramallah in April, show not only is Arafat supporting suicide bombings against Israeli civilians, he's financing the whole thing. You forgot to mention the 800,000 Jews removed from the Arab countries. Most importantly, how is this terrorist not being tried for war crimes.

Do you not remember Damour Lebanon. Let me remind you. Arafat and the PLO plunged Lebanon into "massacres, rape, mutilation, rampages of looting and killings. Out of a population of 3.2 million, some 40,000 or more people had been killed, 100,000 wounded, 5,000 permanently maimed

In January of 1976, the destruction of Damour, a town of some 25,000 was completed by the PLO within two weeks. "The priest of Damour, Father Mansour Labaky desperately trying to save people of the town telephoned Kamal Jumblat [one of the Lebanese leaders], in whose parliamentary constituency Damour lay. 'Father, Jumblat said, 'I can do nothing for you, because it depends on Yasser Arafat' " . All efforts were useless. In the morning following the first night of invasion, when more than fifty people were massacred, Father Labaky "despite the shelling managed to get to the one house, to bring out some corpses. An entire family had been killed, the Canan family, four children all dead, and the mother, the father, and the grandfather. The mother was still hugging one of the children. And she was pregnant

The eyes of the children were gone and their limbs were cut off. No legs and no arms" (123). In total, 582 people were massacred in the storming of Damour. Father Labaky went with the Red Cross to bury them. "Many of the bodies had been dismembered, so they had to count the heads to number the dead. Three of the men they found had had their genitals cut off and stuffed in their mouths"

Azmi Zrayir, the PLO Member, an organizer of the terrorist attack in March, 1975 on the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv in which seven people were killed and eleven wounded, was remembered in Lebanon as "a thief, a murderer, a rapist and a torturer." Being a PLO headquarter commander in Tyre, "he formed a football team into which he conscripted teenage children. The players were forced to gratify Zrayir's sexual appetites. He debauched both girls and boys. At least one child who defied him was shot dead.

Arafat was ruthless not only with the Lebanese citizens but with the Palestinian Arabs too. In January, 1976 during the Christians' attack on Tall alZa'tar refugee camp the PLO tried to prevent the people in the camp from leaving. "Conditions within the camp became critical, with acute shortages of food and water, as bombardment continued day after day. The ideal of selfsacrifice, imposed on the civilians by a leadership which itself took no risks, was never known to be the choice of the unhappy people themselves. And not all of the fighters who fell with their guns in their hands were cut down by the fire of the Christians. Some who tried to surrender or escape from the camp were shot in the back by their own comrades. The high command in the PLO headquarters in West Beirut "not only refused to let the Palestinians leave the camp, or let the fighters surrender in order to save them all from hell, but insisted that the entire population, including the children, were to be sacrificed"

Knowing the atrocities perpetrated against their Arab "brethren" one can only imagine the fate of those who were considered by the PLO to be "spies" or "traitors." "While searching a citizen in Sydon, the PLO found on him Israeli money and a pair of shoes made in Israel His hands and legs were chained to the fenders of four vehicles. When a Fatah officer signaled with his pistol, the four cars raced away, tearing his body apart while horrified spectators screamed. The cars raced through the streets with the bloody limbs dangling"

"Nada alMurr the daughter of Alfred alMurr, a well known Lebanese civil engineer and industrialist, and May alMurr, a poet and historian saw a man torn apart by two vehicles". If one wonders where the PLO bandits learned their barbaric skills one should be advised to look into a book by Jhon Laffin. He wrote in "The PLO Connections," how the PLO trained their youth. "An instructor gave an order and a boy reached into basket and pulled out a chicken. Then he wrung its neck and dropped the dead bird. "No, no, no!" Arafat said reprovingly. He too reached into the basket and dragged out a chicken. And without wringing its neck he pulled the thing apart."

The Lebanese crimes are only a short page in Arafat's criminal biography. Torture, murder and the kidnaping of innocent people was Arafat's and the PLO's signature wherever they were present. Thousands of people perished in Jordan in September of 1970 when Arafat tried to wrest power from King Hussein. More than a thousand Palestinian Arabs accused of "collaboration" with Israel were brutally killed by Arafat's cronies during the "intifada." During the thirty five years of the PLO's existence thousands of Jews have been maimed and murdered in bombings, driveby shootings, stabbings, etc.

The terror unleashed by the PLO all over the world has destroyed and ruined lives of countless people in countless countries. The PLO leaders proudly declared that Arafat bears full responsibility for everything done by the PLO. Ahmed Tibi, Abu Mazen, and Mohammed Dahlan have repeatedly said that it was "Arafat who sent [the "fighters"] out on their operations." Is it possible to imagine a greater hypocrisy than the arrest of a halfconscious 83 year old former Chilean dictator in a hospital, and the embrace of Arafat by the leaders of almost all countries in the world.

Dear Friends,
Can I thank you for labelling me a "Palestinian propagandist". As someone who has campaigned tirelessly for the Palestinian cause I can I am honoured to have been rewarded on this website with a personal posting!

Unfortunately our Zionist friends belong to the same school of falsification as Holocaust deniers.
For instance despite the work of Israeli historians such as Benny Morris (himself a Zionist), Avi Shlaim, and even Israeli Defence Force historians that provide irrefutable evidence that the majority of 750,000 Palestinians were deliberately ethnically cleansed by terror from their homes, most Zionists repeat the claim that in 1948 3/4 million Palestinians left their homes and businesses and all their possessions under the order of the corrupt arab regimes, who wanted to go in and finish Israel off. ISRAELI researchers have confirmed what Palestinian refugees knew all along, that in 1948 35 massacres were perpetrated by Zionist militia over half of them before a single Arab soldier set foot in Israel.

It is hard to refute Zionist arguments as they are not based on rational argument, historical fact, or reality.

Here are a few brief points for my critics:

Firstly, you are correct in the past Arafat was certainly a terrorist, as were many prime ministers of Israel such as Menachem Begin, (viz. Deir Yassin, The King David Hotel), Yizthak Shamir, (Part of the Lehi gang that assassinated UN mediator Count Bernadotte - he also tried to negotiate with Hitler to set up a Zionist state in Palestine that would represent the Third Reich in the Middle East - if you don't believe me look it up in his Autobiography, obviously he glosses over the facts a little bit, but the facts are still their).

Secondly, our Zionist friends refuse to admit the colonial nature of Zionism in 1917 (according to census data), 95% of the people were Arab in historical Palestine, even when Israel was created the ratio in historical Palestine was 70% Arab to 30% Jewish. Israel was a colony imposed upon Palestinian society by Western imperialism. Jerusalem was a Palestinian city for generations (sacred to Christian, Jew and Muslim) alike but nurtured by its gentle stewards, the Palestinian people. I don't think the fact that Jews lived in Palestine 2,000 years ago justifies them driving people from their homes 2,000 years later.

Thirdly, the statistics speak for themselves far, far more Palestinians have been killed than Israelis. I wish for an end to all violence. But that can only come through a just solution, let's say, maybe implementing all UN Resolutions (that is to say Ending the Occupation and letting the Palestinian refugees return home).

Fourthly, I am opposed to suicide bombing, I oppose the conditions that have led to suicide bombing, and I oppose the terrorism of the Israeli army. I believe that the best solution is a non-racial democratic state of Palestine where all faiths and peoples of the region can live in peace equality (be they Arab, Jew, Christian, Muslim, or atheist).

The dismantling of Israeli apartheid will mark the beginning of reconcilliation between Palestinians (on the occupied territories and in Israel) and Israeli Jews: This is the Goal!

END THE OCCUPATION!
LET THE PALESTINIAN REFUGEES RETURN TO THEIR HOMES!

ANTONIUS CLIFFUS JNR.

We couldn't stop our children!

22.09.2002 17:20

Another Zionist lie repeated above is that apparently Palestinians use their children as human shields.

This is plainly nonsense what parents in the world (Arab, Jewish or anywhere else) would use their children in such a fashion - plainly nonsense.

This story was concocted by Zionists to explain why so many children were being killed by the Israeli army. They might like to know that the recent UN enquiry condemned them for using Palestinian families as human shields.

I am reminded of a chapter in Winnie Mandela's book "Part of my Soul". During the Soweto uprising of 1977, when Black children faced down apartheids tanks with stones, and 13 year old hector Peterson was murdered by the South African army, a similar claim was made.

Winnie Mandela and the ANC were accused of using children as human shields, and inciting them to riot.

In fact, as Winnie Mandela writes in a chapter called "WE COULD NOT STOP OUR CHILDREN", (I quote from memory,

'Nobody ordered the children to go. We couldn't stop them. That's what happens when the chains of oppression bind you so hard. You are prepared to do anything. Even face down tanks with stones. You have to break those chains of oppression. Nothing else seems to matter.'

The same is true in Palestine.

SUPPORT THE PALESTINIAN STRUGGLE FOR BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS!
MARCH THIS SATURDAY 28TH (ASSEMBLE 12.30-1.00 P.M AT THE EMBANKMENT)

WE SHALL OVERCOME!

Myth of Pal people

22.09.2002 18:03

The Myth Of The Palestinian People
Yehezkel Bin-Nun 26 December 2001

The general impression given in the media is that Palestinians have lived in the Holy Land for hundreds, if not thousands of years. No wonder, then, that a recent poll of French citizens shows that the majority believe (falsely) that prior to the establishment of the State of Israel an independent Arab Palestinian state existed in its place.

Books, such as Battleground by Samuel Katz long ago detailed the history of the region. Far from being settled by Palestinians for hundreds, if not thousands of years, the Land according to dozens of visitors to the land, was never populated with Palestinians. Alphonse de Lamartine visited the land in 1835. In his book, Recollections of the East, he writes "Outside the gates of Jerusalem we saw no living object, heard no living sound…." None other than the famous American author Mark Twain, who visited the Land in 1867, confirms this. In his book Innocents Abroad he writes, “A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action. We reached Tabor safely…. We never saw a human being on the whole journey.” Even the British Consul in Palestine reported, in 1857, “The country is in a considerable degree empty of inhabitants and therefore its greatest need is that of a body of population…”

According to official Ottoman Turk census figures of 1882, in the entire Land of what is Israel today, there were only 141,000 Muslims, both Arab and non-Arab. This number was to skyrocket to 650,000 Arabs by 1922, a 450% increase in only 40 years. By 1938 that number would become over 1 million or an 800% increase in only 56 years. Population growth was especially high in areas where Jews lived. Where did all these Arabs come from?
They came from the surrounding Arab states of Egypt, Syria and Jordan. In 1922 the British Governor of the Sinai noted that “illegal immigration was not only going on from the Sinai, but also from Transjordan and Syria.”
Malcolm MacDonald, one of the principal authors of the British White Paper of 1939, which restricted Jewish immigration to the Land of Israel, admitted (conservatively) that were it not for a Jewish presence, the Arab population would have been little more than half of what it actually was.

In 1930, the British Mandate -sponsored Hope-Simpson Report noted that “unemployment lists are being swollen by immigrants from Trans-Jordania” and “illicit immigration through Syria and across the northern frontier of Palestine is material.” The Arabs themselves bare witness to this trend. For example, the governor of the Syrian district of Hauran, Tewfik Bey el Hurani, admitted in 1934 that in a single period of only a few months over 30,000 Syrians from Hauran had moved to the Land of Israel. Even British Prime Minister Winston Churchill noted the Arab influx. Churchill, a veteran of the early years of the British mandate in the Land of Israel, noted in 1939 that “far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied.”

Even Arab historians have admitted Palestine never existed.

In 1946, Princeton's Arab professor of Middle East history, Philip Hitti, told the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry, Its common knowledge, there is no such thing as Palestine in history."

In 1937, the Arab leader Auni Bey Abdul Hadi told the Peel Commission,
"There is no such country as Palestine. "Palestine" is a term the Zionists invented. "'Palestine' is alien to us."

In 1956, Ahhmed Shukeiry, founder of the PLO told the UN, that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria."

Far from displacing the Arabs, as they claimed, the Jews were the very reason the Arabs chose to settle in the Land of Israel. Jobs provided by newly established Zionist industry and agriculture lured them there, just as Israeli construction and industry provides most Arabs in the Land of Israel with their main source of income today. Today, when due to the latest “intifada” Arabs from the territories under 35 are no longer allowed into pre-1967 Israel to work, unemployment has skyrocketed to over 40% and most rely on European aid packages to survive.

Not only pre-state Arabs lied about being indigenous. Even today, many prominent so-called Palestinians, it turns out, are foreign born. Edward Said, an Ivy League Professor of Literature and a major Palestinian propagandist, long claimed to have been raised in Jerusalem. However, in an article in the September 1999 issue of Commentary Magazine Justus Reid Weiner revealed that Said actually grew up in Cairo, Egypt, a fact which Said himself was later forced to admit. But why bother with Said? PLO chief Yasir Arafat himself, self declared “leader of the Palestinian people”, has always claimed to have been born and raised in “Palestine”. In fact, according to his official biographer Richard Hart, as well as the BBC, Arafat was born in Cairo on August 24, 1929 and that’s where he grew up.

To maintain the charade of being an indigenous population, Arab propagandists have had to do more than a little rewriting of history. A major part of this rewriting involves the renaming of geography. For two thousand years the central mountainous region of Israel was known as Judea and Samaria, as any medireview map of the area testifies. However, the state of Jordan occupied the area in 1948 and renamed it the West Bank. This is a funny name for a region that actually lies in the eastern portion of the land and can only be called “West” in reference to Jordan. This does not seem to bother the majority of news outlets covering the region, which universally refer to the region by its recent Jordanian name.

The term “Palestinian" is itself a masterful twisting of history. To portray themselves as indigenous, Arab settlers adopted the name of an ancient Canaanite tribe, the Phillistines, that died out almost 3000 years ago. The connection between this tribe and modern day Arabs is nil. Who is to know the difference? Given the absence of any historical record, one can understand why Yasser Arafat claims that Jesus Christ, a Jewish carpenter from the Galilee, was a Palestinian. Every year, at Christmas time, Arafat goes to Bethlehem and tells worshippers that Jesus was in fact “the first Palestinian”.

If the Palestinians are indeed a myth, then the real question becomes “Why?” Why invent a fictious people? The answer is that the myth of the Palestinian People serves as the justification for Arab occupation of the Land of Israel. While the Arabs already possess 21 sovereign countries of their own (more than any other single people on earth) and control a land mass 800 times the size of the Land of Israel, this is apparently not enough for them. They therefore feel the need to rob the Jews of their one and only country, one of the smallest on the planet. Unfortunately, many people ignorant of the history of the region, including much of the world media, are only too willing to help.

It is interesting to note that the Bible makes reference to a fictious nation confronting Israel. “They have provoked me to jealously by worshipping a non-god, angered me with their vanities. I will provoke them with a non-nation; anger them with a foolish nation (Deuteronomy 32:21).”
On second thought, it may be unfair to compare Palestine to Disneyland. After all, Disneyland really exists.

Palestinians are not refugees

22.09.2002 18:10

The Palestinians are not refugees. THEY are now living with their OWN people, exactly as the 800,000 Jews who were kicked out of the surrounding Arab countries, are living now with their OWN people in Israel. The only difference is, that the Arab brothers refuse to intergrate the Palestinians in there countries, by not allowing them equal rights, where as the Jews expelled from all the Arab countries, were fully absorbed by their brothers in Israel. Instead, The Arabs use the Palestinians for Western Media Propaganda. Exactly what Jordan admitted in 1949

JORDAN DAILY NEWSPAPER "FALASTIN". 19th February 1949. The Arab states which had encouraged the Palestine Arabs to leave their homes, in order to be out of the way of the Arab invasion armies.

"The fact that there are these refugees is the direct consequence of the action
of the Arab states attacking Israel. The Arab states agreed upon this policy unanimously and they must share in the solution of the problem they created." Emile Ghouri, Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee, Daily Telegraph 6 Sept 1948.

"The Secretary General of the Arab League, Azzam Pasha, assured the Arab
peoples that it would be a simple matter, to throw the Jews into the Mediterranean. Brotherly advice was given to the Palestinians to leave their land, homes and property and to stay temporarily in neighboring fraternal states, lest the guns of the invading Arab armies mow the Jews down." Habib Issa, in the New York daily Al Hada, 8 June 1951.

"This wholesale exodus was due partly to the belief of the Arabs, encouraged by the boasting of an un-realistic Arab press and the irresponsible utterances of some Arab leaders that it could only be a matter of weeks before the Jews were defeated by the armies of the Arab states. Edward Atiyah, then secretary of the Arab League in London, The Arabs (1955) p 183

"The Arab exodus was incouraged by many Arab leaders, such as Haj Amin El-husseini, the exiled pro-Nazi Mufti of Jerusalem, and by the Arab Higher commitee for Palestine. They viewed the first waves of Arab setbacks as merely transitory. Let the Palestine Arabs flee into neigboring countries. It would serve to arouse the Arab world to greater effort, and when the arab invasion struck, the Palestinians could return to their homes and be compensated with the property of Jews driven into the sea." Kenneth Bilby,'New star in the Near East' pp 30-31

Khaled al-`Azm, who served as Prime Minister of Syria in 1948 and 1949, wrote in his memoirs (published in Beirut, 1973), that among the reasons for the Arab failure in 1948 was"the call by the Arab Governments to the inhabitants of Palestine to evacuate it and to leave for the bordering Arab countries. Since 1948 we have been demanding the return of the refugees to their homes. But we ourselves are the ones who encouraged them to leave...We have brought destruction upon them, by calling upon them and pleading with them to leave (Part 1, pp. 386-387)

"The Arab armies entered Palestine to protect the Palestinians. But instead they abandoned them, forced them to emigrate and leave their homeland." Abu Mazen, PLO Executive Committee, Falastin-al-Thawra, Mar 1976.

A PBS documentary from 1998 has confirmed that Arab eyewitnesses The Arabs deliberately fabricated allegations that atrocities were committed in the battle of Deir
Yassin, during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. The documentary Israel and the Arabs: the 50-Year Conflict aired May 1998. Deir Yassin resident Abu Mahmoud adds: "We said, There was no rape He [Khalidi] said, We have to say this so the Arab armies will destroy the Jews.

The Arab leaders had promised the Palestinians, that the Arab armies would
crush the Zionist very quickly and that there was no need for panic or fear of a long exile." George Hakim, Greek catholic bishop of the Galilee, in the Beirut newspaper "Sada al Janub" 16 Aug 1948.

Harry C. Stebbens, who was in an official position in the British Mandatory
Government in Palestine in 1947-48, wrote in the London Evening Standard (Friday, 10 January, 1969): "Long before the end of the British mandate, between January and April, 48, practically all my Arab Palestinian staff of some 200 men and women and all of the 1800 labor force had left Haifa, in spite of every possible effort to assure them
of their safety if they stayed. "They all left for one or more of the following reasons:

Arab Leaders promised a blood bath as soon as the British mandate ended, in which the street of all the cities would run with blood. The promised invasion by the foreign Arab armies (which started on May 14, 1948, with the Arab Legion massacre of some 200 Jewish civilian at Kfar Etzion) was preceded by extensive broadcasts from Cairo, Damascus, Amman, and Beirut to the effect that any Arabs who stayed would be hanged as collaborators with the Jews. The massacre of Kfar Etzion, the massacre of the hospital convoy killed 48 Jewish doctors and nurses, the continued shelling and blasting of Jewish settlement for more than 20 years, has not caused one single Israeli to move away. They sit tight and if necessary in their shelters while across the river, where the shooting comes from, the towns and villages are deserted, last year's crops still rot on the trees and the refugees move still further away from any troubl

Difference

22.09.2002 18:14

Antonius, Please dont compare, Palestinians firing from civilians areas at Israel and Israel defending themselves by firing back, to Palestinians kidnapping, Stabbing, then mutiliating Israeli boys. Israel does not blow up buses and slaughter civilians. Israel does place bombs in Market places, hoping to kill as many innocent people out there. Its a shame, that people like, dont realize the Palestinians intentions.

Then you want to blame Israel for the 48 War. Thats pretty funny. Who wanted ethnic cleasing. Lets see what you think, by these statements. On March 1 1944, the Palestinian leader, Hajj Amin Al Husseini who was in Cahoots with Hitler. Husseini said in a broadcast from Berlin: "Arabs Rise as one and fight for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history, and religion. This saves your honor." After the 5 Arab Armies attacked Israel in 48, the Arab League Secretary General, Azzam Pasha said, "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the massacres of the Crusades". Hajj Amin Al Husseini stated, "I declare a holy war, my Moslem brothers! Murder the Jews! Murder them all!"

The armies of lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq invaded the tiny new country with the declared intent of destroying it. Its well known, it was the surrounding Arab countries, that Told the Arab population to leave there Holmes. The Arab Armies requested and ordered, that the Arab population leave there holmes to clear the Area, so that the Arab armies could kill the Jews. According to a research report by the Arab-sponsored Institute for Palestine Studies in Beirut, the majority of the Arab refugees in 1948 were not expelled and "68%" left without seeing an Israeli soldier.

How about some more Arab statements. Azzam Pasha regarding the 1 million Jews in the Arab countries. Assam in May 1948 said "There are over one million Jews in the Arab Lands. Their lives will be forfeit as well when we conquer the Jews. The Real ethnic cleasing happened, when the Arabs kicked out 800,000 Jews from the Arab countries in 48. Israel took in every single of those 800,000 Jewish Refugees, while the Arabs with 22 countries, refuse to take in any of the Refugees they created, when they attacked Israel in 48. The reason the Arab countries dont take in these Refugees, is because they want to use them, for some kind of sick western media propangada.

Did you know, that Hajj Amin Al Husseini dispatched a terrorist squad led by Hassan Ali Salameh to Israel during the second World War, with the object of poisoning Lake Kinneret and other water sources to kill all Israeli Jews? They were discovered by the British and prevented from carrying out their murderous Deed. his is well documented in the book "The quest for the Red Prince. Right now as we Speak, Israel has 20 percent of the actual British Mandate borders of 1917. The Arabs have 80 percent. Jordan was part of the British Mandate. The British created Jordan and named the country after the Jordan River in 1922

Deir Yassin truth

22.09.2002 18:20

Palestinian Arab eyewitnesses have now admitted, that their claims about Deir Yassin Massacre were deliberate fabrications.

In A BBC Television program (April 2, 1998) Hazem Nusseibeh, an editor of the Palestine Broadcasting Service's Arabic news in 1948, admits that he was told by Hussein Khalidi, a prominent Palestinian Arab leader, to fabricate claims of atrocities at Deir Yassin in order to encourage Arab regimes to invade the Jewish state-to-be.

According to the Jerusalem Report, Nusseibeh "describes an encounter at the Jaffa Gate of Jerusalem's Old City with Deir Yassin survivors and Palestinian leaders, including Hussein Khalidi... 'I asked Dr. Khalidi how we should cover the story,' recalled Nusseibeh. 'He said, "We must make the most of this." So we wrote a press release stating that at Deir Yassin children were murdered, pregnant women were raped. All sorts of atrocities.'"

The BBC program then shows a recent interview with Abu Mahmud, who was a Deir Yassin resident in 1948, who says that the villagers protested against the atrocity claims: "'We said, "There was no rape." [Khalidi] said, "We have to say this, so the Arab armies will destroy the Jews.'"

Khalidi was one of the originators of the "massacre" allegation in 1948.
Deir Yassin was the site of a miltary battle, that the Israelis won; the Arab military had dressed up as women, in an attempt to launch a surprise, but were quickly discovered.

Before the battle began, Israelis asked the citizens of Deir Yassin to surrender their weapons, to avoid a battle.
They refused and the rest is history, except for the myth created by Arab propaganda.

It was a military victory by Israel, not a massacre.
And finally, note that Israelis broadcast a plea for non-combatants to leave the area for their safety.

None of this hardly makes for a "massacre", but unfortunately, the Arabists on here, are all to ready to believe the worst about Israel. They probably also believe, Bin Laden had nothing to do with 9 11 and that the Kurds weren't gassed by Iraq

Good facts

22.09.2002 23:13

At the end of World War II, with the revelation of the Nazis death camps, American and European politicians' excuse for inaction was "They didn't know."

The excuse of most Germans was, "They didn't know."

Well, this time the world knows that the Arabs are deliberately murdering Israeli women, children and non-combatants. This is not "collateral" attacks. This is the deliberate targeting of civilians.

And unlike the Germans, the Arabs know, and cheer and dance in the streets and hand out candy. The Nazis tried to hide their acts; they had guilty consciences. The Arabs celebrate murder.

The Palestinians think they can destroy Israel, via an indiscriminate campaign of mass murder against innocent Israeli civilians.

Here is the difference between Israel and the Palestinians.

Israelis don't call for murdering children and women, the Arabs do.

Israelis don't strap bombs to themselves, to murder women and defenseless civilians. The Arabs do.

Israel dont tell its people, that if you kill Arabs, you will go to heaven and be with 72 virgins. The Arabs do.

Only the Pal Arabs consider a violent uprising that solely involves killing children in a mall, bus or disco and then celebrate afterwards.

The way Arabs think. The way to get honor and respect, is when you blow yourself up along with some innocent Jewish mothers and babies, your picture will be plastered on posters throughout your hometown. Your family will acquire a revered place in society and will also receive $25,000 in American currency from Saddam Hussein. You meanwhile, will get to fulfill all of your wildest and repressed sexual fantasies with 72 virgins in heaven.

Your concern should be, why dont the Palestinians care there own children.

Seeing the reaction of the Palestinian families after their son/daughter, becomes a suicide bomber and murders Israeli civilians. I wonder, when these children are born, or if the parents are looking into some maternity ward in a West Bank hospital, what are they thinking.

Oh look at all the beautiful little bombs!" "Is that one yours? What a cute little bomb, she has your eyes,"
"I'll bet you'll be able to wrap a lot of explosives around him when he's older"

The shocking pic of the 2 month old Palestinian baby dressed as a suicide bomber, has shown the sadism the Arabs teach there children.

Arafat has raised an entire generation to believe that the highest aspiration in life is to kill Jews. The Palestinians are engaged in an unremitting campaign of targetted murder of women and children. When the Palestinians massacre Israeli school children on buses, and babies in baby carriages, they celebrate. They have raised an entire generation to believe that the the highest cultural and religious value is the massacre of Jews. Through the Arabs hate, an entire generation has lost the capacity for humanity.

Name the last time Israelis intentionally killed Palestinian children, and then rejoiced over or justified it in the name of religion?

The facts are that two years ago Israel offered the Palestinians a sovereign state in the West Bank and Gaza, with Jerusalem as its capital. Barak offered the Palestinians a state, something no Arab country ever did. Barak did this, even though the Palestinians never controlled this land. The response has been the continued murder of Israeli civilians. As a Palestinian organization confirmed in a poll reported last week by the AP, a majority of Palestians view the objective of their fight not to control the West Bank and Gaza, but destruction of Israel. This is what the Palestinians want.

Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin says, that the date of the establishment of the Islamist state in Palestine, will be built on the ruins of Israel in 2027.

Who wants genocide, I'll let you judge.  http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-120601holy.story
Sheikh Muhammed Siyam, a Hamas military leader said this.
"I've been told to restrict or restrain what I say. I hope no one is recording me or taking any pictures, as none are allowed, because I'm going to speak the truth to you," Siyam reportedly said at the conference. "It's simple. Finish off the Israelis. Kill them all! Exterminate them! No peace ever! Do not bother to talk politics."

The late Faisal Husseini, Arafat's Jerusalem representative, a man who was cultured, sophisticated and considered the most moderate of all the Palestinians, shortly before his death on May 31, 2001, expressed his true feelings in an interview with the popular Egyptian newspaper el Arav.

Husseini said: "We must distinguish the strategies and long-term goals from the political-phased goals which we are compelled to accept due to international pressures." But the "ultimate goal is the liberation of all of historical Palestine."

Explicitly he said: "Oslo has to be viewed as a Trojan Horse."

He even added and clarified that it is the obligation of all the Palestinian forces and factions to see the Oslo Accords as "temporary" steps. Husseini went on to say, Israel wont exist in 20 years.

Sari Nusseibeh is another supposed Palestinian moderate.

In an interview on Al-Jazeera television on July 14, translated by Memri. Nusseibeh praised everyone involved in jihad against Israel. Explaining that he did not want to pass moral judgment on the murderers when he signed a petition a month earlier calling for an end to suicide bombers, Nusseibeh said that terrorism presents no moral dilemma, it is only a question of whether or not "political benefit" accrues from killing Israeli civilians.

Sadism

20.10.2002 00:02

A thirst for violence is being drilled into Palestinian children. How should Jewish parents respond?
Lawrence Kelemen, New Republic, June 2, 02,

Last week, after a Palestinian homicide bomber blew himself up and slaughtered a Grandmother and her Granddaughter. 14 month old infant daughter, Sinai and Ruti Peled, 56. CNN interviewed the mother of Jihad Titu (the bomber), who expained her pride and how she encouraged her son to kill the Jews. When CNN asked her, how she felt that he had murdered a Grandmother and 14 month old girl. She said how proud she was of her son's actions.

On a recent Shabbos morning, Palestinian terrorists burst into the bedroom of Shiri Shefi, took aim, and sprayed her and her three children with bullets using M-16 assault rifles. Mrs. Shefi, her 4-year-old son Uriel, and her 2-year-old son Eliad were wounded. Five-year-old Danielle, who was shot in the head, was killed.

Last year, a Palestinian sniper trained his high-powered rifle on 10-month-old Shalhevet Pass and killed the little girl in her father's arms. Six months earlier, Vadim Novesche and Yosef Avrahami, two Israeli reserve officers abducted by Palestinian police, were beaten until their heads were unrecognizable pulp and were then disemboweled by a waiting crowd outside the Palestinian Authority's Ramallah headquarters -- who then danced, entrails in hand, through the city's streets. We all know about all the other massacres the Palestinians have commited against Israeli civilians. The disco massacre, the Sbarros massacre, the Palestinian massacres of Jewish civilians on buses, cafe's and restaurants.

Beneath the strata of Islamic unity is a delight in cruelty that boggles the Western mind.

Cases like these stand out amidst the hundreds of murders of Israelis and foreign visitors here in recent months, not because of their evil -- for the value of every human life is infinite -- but because of their inhumanity. They reveal a terrifying layer in the story of this intifada. Beneath the strata of Islamic unity, Pan-Arabism, and Palestinian national aspiration -- at the root of this great campaign engineered by Arab leaders -- is pure, unbridled sadism, a delight in cruelty that boggles the Western mind.

And even if this lust for savagery is slightly less evident in the "ordinary" shootings and suicide bombings (ordinary?!) that people suffer in Israel on a daily basis, there is a growing suspicion that much of this violence flows from a visceral, Palestinian truculence -- a craving for Jewish pain. For blood.

Those of conscience ask not only what practical steps we can take to escape this nightmare, but also how it could ever have been conceived. What great power have Palestinian leaders tapped into? How do they draw forth so much human energy and direct it for evil?

Perhaps we can learn from them how to harness the same energy and use it for good.

TEXTBOOK INCITEMENT

"The sword and the book descended intertwined." (Midrash Rabbah)

Palestinian leadership takes education very seriously. When visiting the Palestinian National Authority website (www.pna.org), you notice that the first three listings are "Ministry of Higher Education," "Ministry of Information," and "Ministry of Education" -- before the Ministries of Labor, Health, or Water.

Since September 2000, despite their economic crisis and the instabilities of war, the PA managed to compose and introduce into their elementary and high schools 58 new textbooks, replacing the anti-Zionist but relatively benign Egyptian and Jordanian texts used previously. We are not surprised that the new, homegrown books obliterate the State of Israel from history and maps, showing instead a greater Palestine that stretches from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea -- with Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian State.

Textbooks describe the waves of aliyah as "infiltration," characterize Jews as being full of trickery and barbarity.

We should not be surprised that these texts present the liberation of Palestine as a struggle against Jewish occupation, describe the waves of aliyah as "infiltration," characterize Jews as being full of trickery, greed, and barbarity, and glorify Jihad and martyrdom. (See examples at www.edume.org.)

Beyond its local educational products, the Palestinian Authority also imports a wealth of educational materials from her neighbors: A 30-part series -- produced by Arab Radio and Television, featuring a cast of 400, and aired during the second half of Ramadan this year -- "dramatized" the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Arab viewers were also recently treated to a popular political satire showing Ariel Sharon drinking the blood of Palestinian children. The myth that Jews sprinkle the blood of Arab children into their matzah is graphically described in "The Matzah of Zion," published in 1983 by the current Syrian Defense Minister, Mustafa Tlas.

The Egyptian mass circulation daily al-Ahram also recently reported "many cases of the bodies of [Palestinian] children who had disappeared being found, torn to pieces, without a single drop of blood. The most reasonable explanation is that the blood was taken to be kneaded into the dough of extremist Jews." And of course this Purim we were treated to an article in the Saudi government daily, Al-Riyadh, describing in great detail the Jewish method of draining the blood of Muslim children to be used in baking Hamantashen.

We might (or might not) be able to imagine the effect academic and media presentations like these have on the Palestinian soul.

HARDWIRING FOR SADISM

However frightening this propaganda and its effects might be, we must confront the possibility that an even more hideous engine drives the terrorists' cruelty. Relative to the West, life in Arab countries has always been harsh. Corporal punishment of children is thoroughly imbedded in the culture. No mainstream Islamic authority has yet spoken out against slapping children's faces, dragging them by their hair, or any of the other disciplinary approaches that shock Western onlookers.

The American Academy of Pediatrics estimates that approximately 100 million girls from Africa and the Middle East between the ages of 4 and 10 have had their clitoris (and usually surrounding tissue) removed, typically without any anesthesia and while held down forcibly on a table or bench. AAP said the procedure, typically performed with "instruments such as knives, razor blades, broken glass, or scissors," is performed 4-5 million times annually.

An estimated 100 million Arab girls have had female circumcision, typically using crude instruments and without any anesthesia.

Survival in such a culture necessitates some numbing. But this psychological component might be insignificant relative to the neurobiological effects of being beaten and tortured in childhood. It was Harvard researchers who first revealed that stress hormones released when children experience physical and sexual abuse actually impede development of that part of the brain responsible for empathy and conscience.

Brain scans of those who suffered through events common in the childhood of Palestinian children reveal an underdeveloped hippocampus and vermis. Among the behaviors associated with this sort of brain damage: impulsivity, sadism, and suicide.

It is almost too frightening to consider that Israel today faces a population, many of whom are hardwired for the sort of violence we have been witnessing.

More terrifying is the long-term prognosis for Palestinian society. Martin Teicher, a lead researcher in the Harvard study, reports in Scientific American (March 2002) that sadistic parents neurobiologically infect their children with the same trait:

Society reaps what it sows in the way it nurtures its children... Whether it comes in the form of physical, emotional, or sexual trauma, or through exposure to warfare, famine, or pestilence, stress can set off a ripple of hormonal changes that permanently wire a child's brain to cope with a malevolent world. Through this chain of events, violence and abuse pass from generation to generation as well as from one society to the next.

EXTRACTING LIGHT FROM THE DARKNESS

In the near term, it is unlikely that Israel will do much to stem the flow of anti-Semitic propaganda, or reduce the violence that Palestinians do to their own children. We must accept that Israel is locked in a battle with a population many of whom are programmed for inconceivable callousness and hatred.

Ironically, we can learn from our neighbor's example:

Just as Palestinians take education very seriously and produce sadism, so can we dedicate the lion's share of our resources to Jewish education in order to produce sensitivity, altruism, and righteousness. The percentage of Jewish charitable funds directed to teaching Torah to Jewish youth is miniscule, obscenely small. Just as Palestinian political and lay leaders obsess over immersing their children in the details of Palestinian history and culture, so can our political and lay leaders.

The percentage of Jewish charities directed to teaching Torah to Jewish youth is obscenely small.

Israeli leaders and heads of major Jewish organizations in the Diaspora all too often play down (or outright deny) the value of an immersion in Judaism. Just as Palestinian parents speak to their children about the need to "sacrifice for our national dream," so too we can speak to our children about giving of themselves to achieve real Tikkun Olam.

Perhaps our children hear too much about how to get what they want, and not enough about how to let go of what they want for the sake of something or Someone bigger than them.

And just as the harshness of Palestinian childhood might be wiring children for hatred and violence, so too perhaps attentive, loving parenting might wire our children for goodness. (I have summarized the considerable evidence for this possibility in my book, "To Kindle a Soul.")

Perhaps the moment has arrived to rethink the amount of time we spend (or don't spend) with our children; the way we discipline them; the media we expose them to. Perhaps we can be inspired by the intifada to commit ourselves, 24/7, to raising a different sort of child. Perhaps those of us who survive the current crisis can emerge different, better, for the horrors we have seen.

Over past 2 years

20.10.2002 00:28

Over the past two years, we've seen what the Palestinians have done with the semi-autonomy generously granted to them by Israel.

They've slaughtered grandmothers and toddlers, pregnant women and elderly rabbis. They've set off their nail-studded, rat poison-laced bombs in shopping malls, disco's, pizzeria's, cafe's and university cafeterias.
They've turned school buses into blazing infernos, invaded home and shot mothers and children in their beds. They've dragged 13-year-old boys to caves and stoned them to death.

Those who don't actually pull the triggers, detonate the bombs or do the stoning, celebrate the atrocities in the streets of Ramallah and Jenin, as they danced in those same streets when other Arabs crashed two planes into the World Trade Center. These sadists even built an exhibition celebrating the Sbarros massacre last August.

In mid-September, the PA's own Information Ministry website was featuring Haifa, Acre, Jaffa and Nazareth as "Palestinian cities" on its homepage.

As Golda Meir said thirty years ago, "There will be peace in the Middle East when Arab mothers love their children more than they hate the Jews."

Sheik Ikrima Sabri, leading clergyman of the PA, just days after June 2001's Tel-Aviv suicide bombing, which murdered 21 Israeli teenagers at a disco. Sabri said in a televised sermon, "The Muslim loves death and martyrdom,
just as [the Jews] love life. There is a great difference between he who loves the hereafter and he who loves this world. The Muslim loves death [and seeks] Martyrdom."

Hamas chief Sheikh Ahmed Yassin explains that Palestinian terrorism will in
the end destroy Israel because Israelis place too high a value on life, and
when Palestinian mothers encourage their children to become suicide bombers,
we do not share common bonds and heritage with our enemies.

On October 14, 2002, the Hamas Website published an interview with a Palestinian mother who sent her son to carry out a suicide attack against Israel. The mother is proud of the support and encouragement she gave her son in carrying out his attack. She is proud of his death and hopes to serve as an example to other Palestinian mothers and sons.

Mahmud Alabad was born on April 30, 1979. When I gave birth to Mahmud, I was so happy when I saw him, and when I said goodbye to him when he was on his way to the next world, I was happy… may Allah be praised for the fate that granted this suicide attacker his life and his death.

Mahmud arrived at home one day and said: I was accepted, mother. I asked him where. He replied: To the ranks of the brigades [The Izz-a Din Al-Qassam Brigades, terrorist faction of the Hamas]. From now on, he said, I am to be counted among the warriors. He hurried and left [the house]. I assumed that he was going to a confrontation with the Jews, yet he returned shortly and asked me to be filmed with him for a video. He told me that the brigades want my approval for him to be a suicide bomber (Istishahadi). I sent a letter with him, which he passed to the leader, Salah Shehade [head of the terrorist faction of the Hamas; Shehade was killed in the IDF Airforce attack on Gaza in July 2002]. Shehade said that the operation that Mahmud would take part in would be very successful, because his mother is pleased by his actions.

Prior to the attack in which he was killed, Mahmud went on two other missions, before which I had to bid him farewell. The first time he left immediately after we were filmed on video. He told me: The most important thing is to please you. He hurried and left, and I waited anxiously to hear of his death. I wished him success and that Allah might speed him along in his attack against his enemies.

The following evening, while I was kneeling on my prayer rug, Mahmud entered, and I asked him what happened. He answered: I went to the place and I saw the bride and her family; tomorrow we go there to pay the dowry [bride is the Hamas code word for terror attack; this is based on the belief that a man who falls in the course of Jihad ascends to Heaven and marries 72 virgins]. I asked him what happened. He answered: I could not find any Jews. Then a second time I said goodbye to him, and he said: I am going, and I will not return. I cried and tears flowed down my cheeks, and when Mahmud saw me [like this] he did not answer but turned his head [and ran out]. I waited until midnight, and then he came back. I asked that from now we not say goodbye but that he go at his first opportunity. And that is what happened.

From the first time that I said goodbye, I asked him not to be afraid [in fighting] against the Jews, as they are cowards, that he prepare his weapons well before embarking,… that he kill [as many] as he can and leave none alive…. And when he left for his operation, his face was radiant as if he were meeting the girls of heaven right then and there. I wished him luck and that he enter heaven and marry the girls as soon
In the middle of the night, two masked men knocked on the door [of our house]. As soon as I opened the door they said: Allah has richly rewarded you. Instantly I knew that Mahmud had been granted the death he wanted. I told my husband that Mahmud had been slain in the glorious attack. I also informed Mahmud's brother and felt happiness mixed with sorrow. I informed his sisters that I had known in advance of his attack and that I was even filmed in a video beforehand. They were astonished at first, but they quickly accepted my actions.

I was very happy when I heard that he [Mahmud] killed Jews in the attack. When a warrior of Jihad follows Allah's path to kill Jews, [it is the act of Jihad] that gives him strength. Even if he does not kill any Jews, it is an honorable act because he dies the death of a martyr.
We [Muslims] have a strong maternal instinct. We have a deep love for our sons
