Save Crystal Palace Park

Important event tomorrow evening

Crystal Palace Park is once again under threat.

Four years ago Bromley Council decided, without public consultation, that the top ridge of Crystal Palace Park should be home to an 18-screen multiplex cinema. There was massive opposition, including a protest site which, along with numerous legal challenges, succeeded in saving the Park from development.

In spite of this victory, the Council won't give up, so neither will we!

Bromley Council has now fenced off the top of the Park with unsightly 2.4m high plywood hoardings. They plan to sell off the land to developers.

Local opposition is massive and a candle-lit vigil is being held tomorrow evening. It is hoped that as many people as possible will come down and show support for the campaign to unfence the park.

Come to the vigil and help put the park back in the hands of the people.
