Horizontal Recruitment OR "cool-as-fuck Coun

19.09.2002 13:21

"War is not simply the product of aggressive tendencies in human beings nor
the presence of evil in the world as the religious pacifist and liberals
believe. War is the product of capitalist competition the working class are
nothing but fodder for factory and battlefield those who pay the most homage
are the most oppressed"

notes: on Horizontal Recruitment OR "cool-as-fuck Counter Culture?
urbanparanoia are four mates who print and publish infrequent communiqué?s
under the name of collectableanorak. We have been printing propaganda for 6
years. We consider ourselves to active members of No War But The Class War
(Sheffield group). Hands of Iraq - Freedom for Palestine demo organised for
the 28th September London will no doubt be big. Likewise we have no doubt the
anti capitalist block (a mis-fit of toy town ?revolutionaries?) will attract
the normal state response and there is no doubt the normal agitators of the
state.

Having given thought and in depth discussion about our involvement in the
current anti war movement we have decided on what we would like to call a
tactical withdrawal.

The presence of the anti capitalist block is welcome.

However we feel it will attract far too much state interest and response.

We have never felt at ease working and organising

with the ?capitalist left? and other reformers of capitalism.

Therefore we will not attend the demo on the 28th of September planned for
London on that day. We will use what we call tactical intervention and expose
the capitalist left and the reformers they are sharing a platform with. We
understand this could lead to us being labelled ultra left and other stereo
myth-representation of anarchism therefore we ask you read
http://urbanparanoia.co.uk/rants/anarchy.html also on line is our new
communiqué: Horizontal Recruitment OR "cool-as-fuck Counter Culture?
http://urbanparanoia.co.uk/rants/aginstwar.html which we aim to publish as
soon as the War on Iraq increases Our last work can be found here
http://peace.lowtech.org who are urbanparanoia and other Sheffield peace
activists.

We take direct action ourselves, never again will we be pushed off our own
streets, forced into hiding in our houses, keeping our heads down. 'Community
leaders' of the left and anarchist have always sold us out. We're fighting
back and this time we won't be betrayed. This is 'anti-capitalism' at its
most vocal, a community in revolt, this is the class war.
