There was no claim of responsibility for the blasts in an area under full Israeli security control south of the West Bank city of Hebron. Israeli army radio quoted military sources as saying they suspected that Jewish terrorists were responsible.

Israeli police said they had no leads so far.

Manal Ishriteh, a municipal official in the town of Yatta where the school is located, said five children aged from five to eight years old were wounded when the bombs exploded near a bathroom during a break in classes.
