PEACE - WHAT YOU CAN DO

Suggestions for direct actions (apart from joining in on the 28th, of course)

PEACE THINGS TO DO

1. Gather outside parliament when it's recalled on Tuesday 24th. Chant, bang, drum, support calls for a vote, support the many dissenters inside the building.

2. RING THE LABOUR PARTY! REGISTER YOUR VOICE! TALK TO A REAL MEMBER OF THE GOVERNMENT 08705 900 200

Stick with the recorded announcement. (You used to be able to get straight through to a real person, but they've changed that) When it gets to the final option DON'T press 3. Pretend you have not got a touch tone phone. You will then get put through to an "attendant", though it may take some time. ALL CALLS ARE LOGGED AND THE RESULTS SENT THROUGH TO 10 DOWNING STREET. I had an informative chat with the man who finally answered, too.

3. EMAIL KOFI ANNAN.  annan@un.org
I have visions of a computer dealing with these messages, without any person ever reading them, but you never know.
