Four members of the Welsh language pressure group Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gmraeg were arrested on Saturday at a rally in Aberaeron held to voice opposition to Ceredigion County Council's Unitary development plan.

The four were Emyr Llewelyn from Ffostrasol, Owen Llewelyn from Felinfach, Arwel Rocet Jones from Aberystwyth and Heledd ap Gwynfor from Llandysul.

The four were taken to Aberystwyth where Heledd ap Gwynfor received a caution and the other three were released on police bail until October 5th.

Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg will now be holding an all night vigil outside the county council building on September 25th/26th.

The next draft of the unitary development plan will appear on the 26th.
