To all our friends in Devon and elsewhere, an invite

Roger the Most Artful of Fare Dodgers | 17.09.2002 08:11

Cuntryside Alliance (posh toffs) are busy organsing plentiful free transport down to London for the impoverished, and fed up, rural masses.

They will be joyous, no doubt, at the site of a swarm of yokels armed with pitchforks and spades charging onto their trains buses and boats, with the avowed intention of participating in a 'march' truly worthy of rural folk.

Basically, transport options follow:
anyone know anything about the buses they're laying on?

GNW, and other services from the Northwest suffer engineering works in Hemel Hempstead area, necessitating bus interchange, or travel via GNER rail services.

From DEVON they are kindly a providing a free train:

Have you booked your seat on the Voice of the West Express?

Tickets are selling fast. The train will depart Plymouth at 07:45 and will call at Exeter St Davids and Taunton arriving Paddington at 12 noon. It will depart Paddington at 18:35 returning to Plymouth at 22:20.
If you would like a seat at £40 return please email me and I will send you a booking form. Unfortunately we have just heard from the Charter Company that they can no longer stop at Tiverton Parkway due to new Government inspection guidelines. Therefore this train will only stop at Plymouth, Exeter St Davids and Taunton.
IS A WELCOME DEMO CALLED FOR AT PADDINGTON?

They are even organising a party in London, the night before with much boozy yokel bashing guaranteed.
If you live in London or are planning to stay in town on 21st September -- the night before the Countryside March on 22-09-02 -- why not get together with like-minded countryside supporters at The Brewery in Chiswell Street EC1 for a night of serious relaxation?

There will be top entertainment, with Eleanor Keenan and the Skyliners Orchestra playing everything from Glenn Miller to more recent favourite 'Songs for Swinging Lovers', plus full live support from one of London's top party bands and a discotheque.
Top celebrity hosts will complete the entertainment.

For those who prefer saving their feet for the following day, an exhibition of the finest sporting art, sculpture, jewellery and other sporting items (perfect for Christmas) in the "chillout" rooms. And an auction during the evening with lots including fine art, a game safari in South Africa, getways at top hotels and a host of treatments in a top beauty spa.

With tickets at £25 per head and no dress code, 1300+ marchers are expected to attend this unique venue in the capital. Ticket sales and other proceeds will go to the Countryside Alliance

Many other emails are availible on their website, doubtless evil spammers are already troubling these guile-less cuntry folk.
