Arriving in Los Angeles today, Ethiopian Producer Russom Damba confirmed reports that he will hire acclaimed filmmaker Raoul Peck, who directed the hit film LUMUMBA, to direct "SINS OF A LIVING WOMAN", the story of a Nigerian Muslim housewife who has a forbidden affair with a Nigerian Muslim. Sexy, beautiful and totally controversial Sudanese born writer KOLA BOOF (pictured) is set to play the woman stoned to death, and Damba is offering the role of the Christian lover to Djimon Hansou ("Amistad"). Russom Damba also expects to lure Alfre Woodard, Akosua Busia, Tony Todd and Lonette Mckee to appear in the dramatic love story/tragedy. Damba calls it an "African Romeo and Juliet" story. He expects shooting to begin next May with the Island of Aruba dressed up as an "erotic" Nigeria. Considering that Islamic Muslim gunmen made an attempt on writer Kola Boof's real life just a month ago, it's stunning to see her cast in such a role. The outspoken author is a very vocal critic of Sudan's Arab Muslim government.
