A CALL FOR ''HUMANITY DAY'' - TREVISO, italy - 09.15.02

sherwood comunicazione | 09.09.2002 13:25

The Cathedral of Treviso, occupied by the immigrants fighting for dignity and for a house, has in these days become the symbol of the social exclusion of workers who have seen their houses being cleared and demolished,
and also the symbol of immigrants' presence in a new movement which is fighting for rights and humanity, in territories, in workplaces, in schools and everywhere.

For this reason, just a few days before the Bossi-Fini law, a racist law that reduces human beings to work machines and that is built on institutionalized apartheid and lagers called Detention Centers, comes into force, we invite all immigrant brothers and sisters, all anti-racists, the civilian society, to come to Treviso for a great demonstration on September the 15th.

This city, whose mayor still talks about race and discrimination, needs the faces, the colours, the voices of all the voiceless, the last ones, the excluded, to keep on walking the way that passed through Genova in July and Rome in January.

On the very same day the racists celebrate in Venice their squalid ritual called "Padania Day", let's build the invasion of Treviso's movements, to expell racism and disobey to unjust laws and politics.

COMMITTEE M21
BORGO VENEZIA'S, SANT'ARTEMIO'S,CADORO'S AND EX-CROCE ROSSA'S OCCUPANTS
