The world premiere of John Pilger's powerful new documentary, with a talk by Pilger and his producer.

Twenty-five years since Pilger made a film for ITV with the same title, he conducts a series of remarkable interviews with Palestinians and a group of Israelis who support them, 'united by their courage and their yearning to be free'. The father of a 14-year-old Israeli girl killed by a suicide bomber talks movingly about 'the truth that both my daughter and her killer were victims'. A soldier who has refused to serve in the Occupied Territories challenges his government to hear its critics without calling them anti-Semitic. Shot on the West Bank, Gaza and in Israel.

John Pilger and producer Christopher Martin will appear on stage to take questions following the screening.

NORMAN MAILER SPEAKS OUT !

09.09.2002 13:17

Norman Mailer needs no introduction to anyone at all familiar with radical USA literature in the last 40 years.
In the Sunday Times colour supplement magazine he states his worries about his society.

"Theres too much anger, above all, too much patroitism.
Patriotism in a country which is failing is logically likely to turn fascistic"
"The transition from democracy to totalitarianism could happen rather quickly"
