Ever heard of a micronation?

Micronationalism is the nationalistic movements of extremely small and often new countries. Micronations are self declared states or nations sometimes in actuality or more often on the internet.

Famous examples of micronations are:

HUTT RIVER PROVINCE PRINCIPALITY
A west Australian micronation formed in the seventies. ruled by Prince Leonard the first, Hutt river seperated from australia after a protracted dispute over wheat quotas. In a letter from the Governor General of Australia to Prince Leonard, the GG referred to the Prince as the Administrator of Hutt river province (Leonard called himself that then, the prince part came later), Hutt river claims this amounts to defacto recognition of thier sovereignty.

THE AERICAN EMPIRE
A more common form of micronation is the purely internet based nation. The Aerican empire was formed by a 12 year old who declared his bedroom independent and gave it the name Aerica. Later when launched on the internet the Aerican Empire claimed large portions of mars and half of pluto as thier territory. (thier motto is "coming to a galaxy near you") Thier flag is red and white feturing a giant yellow simely face.
