Strikers thank SWP for donation

Our first strike, also the first in Trinity Mirror since the company was formed three years ago, has gone superbly well, largely because of the support we have from all sections of the community. We appreciate very much your gesture of solidarity, and we were proud to welcome you.

I was Liverpool branch secretary of the SWP 30 years ago when they had three factory branches in one Liverpool industrial estate alone: two in large car plants and another in a large pharmaceutical plant (Glaxo) where they were elected to a majority of the shop stewards committee. In the same year they led a highly successful mass total rent strike in the Liverpool suburb of Kirkby (the Tower Hill rent strike) which ended up with the leaders in prison.
Over they years they have tirelessly supported strikes and progressive causes and therefore the above post does not "confuse" me at all--it is a simple thank you from a working class person who acknowledges their support. But you, obvioulsy, are too much of an asshole to appreciate such simple, uncomplicated truths.
