Yes you are right children in western schools are brainwashed, as you put it, but I prefer to call this brainwashing indoctrination. In other words are children are being indoctrinated through a school syllabus that contains within its centre a neo-liberal ideology that does not teach our children to be creative and to create the environment that they choose to live in. The present school syllabus indoctrinates are children into conformity and to conform to the present system that is being imposed upon them.

Children in western schools are never taught to be critical and to question what is happening around them, they are instead, through stealth, suppressed, subjugated and the eventual outcome is domestication. This insidious ambiguous oppression stays with the children throughout their adduct life. This is why it is so easy for governments to do as they please with practically no opposition from the general public.

The ruling elite have always know that schools are very important when it comes to maintaining the present oppressive social order. At this present moment in history our children are being indoctrinated through a school syllabus that contains within its centre a neo-liberal ideology that does not empower our children or teach them to be creative and to create an environment that they choose to live in. The present school syllabus indoctrinates our children into conformity and to conform to the present system that is being imposed upon them.

It is now an excepted reality by libertarian academics and socialist philosophers such as Gramsci that there is no need for social control through physical control. Gramsci claimed that with the rise of modern science and technology social control was exercised less through the use of physical force (army, police, ext) than the distribution of elaborate systems of norms and imperatives. The media is also a powerful tool, which is used by the ruling elite to indoctrinate our children.

Corporation undoubtedly want to get their sticky little fingers on our kids. The school is just one place amongst many where they go marketing.

Howevever school does teach children to read and write, get them to socialise with a whole range of kids, open them up to a whole range of experience. All of this is lacking in most homes. At home children are far more likely to be plonked in front of the TV, and given poor food. School works as a place where ideas can be exchanged more effectively than home.
