Strasbourg occupation - 17 Ahmed supporters arrested

Supporters of Ahmed arrested during occupation of an office of ministry of justice the day after his trial.
Ahmed still not allowed visits and probably under solitary confinement.
Campaign to support him needs translators French/English

On Thursday, August 23rd, about 20 pp occupied an office of the Ministry of Justice in Strasbourg to demand that Ahmed is put out of solitary confinement and gets the right to receive visitors. 17 people were arrested. On saturday, it was not yet clear what is happening to them. On sunday, they are still held, probably will be charged.
From what we understand in the French email lists, the police were unproportionally heavy considering that the occupation was not violent, only a banner saying "Ahmed libre" was dropped from the window.

Ahmed was arrested during a demo of the sbourg bordercamp, in his trial on August 21st, he was fined 700 Euro and 8 months in prison, 5 of them on probation/remand (whats the right word??). After his trial, he was very probably put back under solitary confinement and is still not allowed to receive visitors, i.e. to talk to anyone a part from his lawyer. This is, basically, isolation, a very serious state strategy which in the oppinion of many psychologists and doctors constitutes a form of torture.

If you want to help, you can raise money or write to him, AND the campaign is badly in need of French speakers, who can translate into English. If you are one of these people, please please come forward! (email or comment here)
