WAR BEGINS AND NOBODY NOTICES

What if they had a war and nobody noticed? At least here in North America this amazingly seems to be the case, a truly Orwellian feat! It is not a question of when of if the US attacks Iraq, as the media pretend. Earth to the media: It has already begun! It only awaits intensity. Bush just needs a Gulf of Tonkin con job, to rally the brainwashed. Now here is the proof:

I wonder what it'll be that pushes us over the edge. Not something as grand as knocking over those buildings last year, but I'm sure it will catch the imagination just the same. I bet the boys in Langley are having a great time coming up with that plan.

How many countries are already in ruin, without a bullet being fired?
Never mind, the sport's still on TV...

Remember Jean Baudrillard ?

Now perhaps we see what he means; and it was no more than Orwell noted in the 1940s, that the distinction between war and peace has become blurred to such an extent, we cannot even rely on the manufactured images which bombard us. (Everyone gets bombarded with something nowdays).
Incidentally, Pilger remarks on Baudrillard in his latest book "The New Rulers of the World". Nice to see he agrees with me !

Who are the terrorists???
"We" are punishing innocent people only for the fact that they have been born under a dictatorship; and if more bombs start to fall many more will suffer and die. But, of course there is always more important things to talk about in the western mainstream media, like the lives of irrelevant celebrities!
