censorship

One of the indymedia editors is continuing to remove posts that don't violate indymedias posting policy simply because he/she disagrees with the arguments put forward by people. This strikes me as being a rather intolerant, fascistic thing to do and it must be discouraged so all platforms, political ideologies and arguments, are expressed.

Here we go again, yet another person who has to chuck his toys out of the pram. Why oh why don't you post your complaint of removal of posts to the e-mail lists. Simple, go to lists, IMCuk CONTACT and voila the maintainers of the site who all volunteer can try to disciuss with you why it was hidden.

Volunteers who have to put up with your whinging crap. First of all, I reckon your article such as it was, came under the editorial guidelines for two reasons. Firstly it was discrimination and secondly it was inaccurate, as you said it was opinion, based on what? Where is the evidence. The NEWSwire, is meant to be for news, funny that ain't it.

These kind of postings are not news and they are certinly not benefiting the site for new people who come to the site and want to read alternative news, analysis and well thought out viewpoints. Maybe you would like the site to finish? The site is as good as the postings that are placed on here. Prick!

So you didnt see the half a dozen+ links to articles from mainsteam news sites about the changes to the uniform proposed by deputy commisioner blair, the failure to extradite extremists wanted by the SU and an article about a muslim clerics being prosecuted for anti semitism then???

My comments on here are always backed evidence to support statements i make and are to my best endeavour accurate. Unless its clearly an opininion I am making in reply to something someones asked me.

Furthermore it wasnt discriminatory at all... well... i suppose it was to a 'small hardcore of muslim extremists' it certainly wasnt aimed at the majority of muslims as I CLEARLY stated.

The reason my comments are removed is simply because i provide a counterargument to the statements made regularly on here.

As for it being a newswire... if thats the case why arent all the political and social commentaries made by socialists and marxists on here removed that arent strictly news.

MY ARTICLE HOWEVER WAS NEWS>... it was about the proposed changes to police uniforms tabled by Ian Blair to the ACPO and to the press following the resignation of a METPOL employee... thats clearly 'news' and its an issue thats pretty much open to debate. Rather then just deleting my posts, why not add your opinion.

Indymedia seems to have lost its independance and become a mouthpiece of anarchists and communists. I see it as my duty to offer an alternative opinion.
