Leningrad: Tonight 9pm BBC 2

Space-Trotskyist | 09.08.2002 13:48

An expose of the way the people of Leningrad were treated after the siege, by Stalin. Unfortunately, clashing with a radio documantary about the Angry Brigade (BBC Radio 4, also 9pm) Set the video !

Essentially, it confirms the thesis set out by Trotsky in the 1930s, that the people of the USSR would continue to defend whatever was left of their socialist endeavour, but would find themselves being attacked not only by the Nazis, but by Stalin too.
As for the radio piece, yet another chapter in the lacklustre story of the socialist movement in Britain.
