NewsRound on the BBC is pro-zionist bollocks!

I don't know about you readers of Indymedia but are you sick to death of that bullshit NewsRound produces as of late?!

Who watches that crock of shit NewsRound on the BBC? Way back in the past it used to be more truthful about the MiddleEast and Israel when one time it called on Israelis to give back land to the Palastinians but since then it has become so biased towards Israel and so full of shit I might as well post it on Indymedia UK.
I don't know about you people but that NewsRound programme is nothing but pure pro-zionist shit and plus backing the US for its plans to invade Iraq and demonising Sadam Hussein. It has said nothing about Iraq being the second largest oil reserve in the world and plight of the Iraqi people.
This programme is usually aimed at kids and I bet they are using this to brainwash the poor kids into hating Iraqis and the Palastinians. If I'm right on this then NewsRound is nothing but racist shit for doing this which is reminisant to what Hitler done back in World War 2 when he used the same old shit to brainwash kids with his Nazi properganda against rest of the world.
A personal message to NewsRound stop sucking Ariel Sharon dick for fucksake and stop brainwashing the kids into hating certain ethinic groups or else!!

I've never watched Newsround but much of the BBC's output shares this bias so I can believe it. I get a morning news fix from R4's Today programme which has given a great deal of coverage to Zimbabwe, particularly the current evictions facing some white farmers. The style and tone is condemnatory and we are given many anguished tales from the farmers in question.

Yet the recent Israeli High Court decision that destruction of Palestinian houses by the military - a form of collective punishment - is legal and may be carried out without warning scarcely merits a mention. Indeed the whole subject of the demolitions of thousands of Palestinian homes is a non-story, and on the few occasions it surfaces it's always couched in terms of a "response to terrorism". In view of the fact that such demolitions are a prima facie breach of the 4th Geneva Convention, to which Israel is party, this omission is extraordinary.

Consider also how the BBC dutifully parrots the Foreign Offices refrain that Saddam Hussein is in breach of UN resolutions - and therefore we are "entitled" to attack Iraq - while ignoring the fact that Israel is in clear breach of countless resolutions yet enjoys normal relations with the UK. This too is the official line, and they follow it obediently.

I don't, however, think that the BBC is entirely unresponsive to criticism. If anything they have bent to the demands of the pro-Sharon lobby, who are very well organised. Those who oppose his degenerate policies should complain whenever they see clear bias or factual distortion.

Of course the accusation of BBC bias doesn't just apply to Palestine/Israel, but if you're interested in that a site to try might be Palestine Media Watch, though it does have a US slant.
