WHATS THE POINT IN FIGHTING

US accused of airstrike cover-up
From Dumeetha Luthra in Kabul

AMERICAN forces may have breached human rights and then removed evidence after the so-called wedding party airstrike that killed more than 50 Afghan civilians this month, according to a draft United Nations report seen by The Times.
A preliminary UN investigation has found no corroboration of American claims that its aircraft were fired on from the ground, and says there were discrepancies in US accounts of what happened.

If the findings are upheld by a second, more detailed, UN investigation, they will cause huge embarrassment to the Pentagon.

UN sources said that the findings pointed to an American cover-up, and suggested that American investigators were dragging their feet hoping that the issue would pass.

Pentagon officials have said that cameras fixed to the AC130fs gun turrets showed gunfire coming from the ground, but the Pentagon has not released the film, as it has on previous occasions, preventing independent analysis of whether it was anti-aircraft artillery or celebratory rifle fire.

The reason for the delay in releasing the video from the gun-turret camera, is that the
faked version with the 'shooting from the ground' hasn't been edited into it yet.

But it does'nt really matter, because they have already ridden out most of the storm around
it and they don't really care anyhow.

Missing the point

(The technology has long existed to edit such a tape convincingly in minutes, that wouldn't delay a release– the Pentagon knows that the UN won't renege on it's duties and declare the matter an 'unfortunate accident'.)

This is merely one small event in a chain of thousands of attacks by the imperialists, butchering and slaughtering Afghani civilians. Dwelling on this event is precisely what Rumsfeldt and Blair would want to see; can't anyone tell a good old fashioned decoy these days?

The death toll rises as we type. Next stop, step up the murder in Iraq...

Just Like Israel!

This is just like Israel,s cover-up of its attrocities in Jenin when they refused to allow U.N. investigators into that Palestinian city until after they had time to "clean up" the site of their massacre!
