Heathrow's New Third Runway

23.07.2002 22:10

The villages of Harlington, Sipson, Cranford, West Drayton and others around Heathrow NEED YOUR HELP AND ADVICE NOW!! PLEASE!!!

The announcement of the new runway at Heathrow has succeded in blighting the entire area and it will threaten to demolish 4,000 homes, forcibly relocate 8,5000 people, destroy at least five listed buildings, destroy three ancient churches (and graveyards) and close three schools (disrupting the education of thousands of kids). What for? Short term profit for B.A.and the B.A.A.

The expanded airport will also result in over 1 million in West London being subject to increased pollution and noise.

The campaigns against this are being orchestrated by John McDonnell (Labour MP for Hayes and Harlington), and other local Labour councillors.

BUT HOW CAN WE TRUST AN MP WHOSE POLITICAL FUTURE IS DEPENDENT UPON FOLLOWING THE PARTY LINE? IS HIS SUPPORT FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS A SHAM?

WE NEED ACTIVISM NOW - FROM GRASS ROOTS FOR GRASS ROOTS.
