I have received information from the Colombia Solidarity Campaign about a picket of the Colombian Embassy in London (3 Hans Crescent, Knightsbridge; round the back of Harrods) this Monday 22nd July at 4.30 pm on. This is part of an international COCA COLA DAY OF ACTION with similar embassy pickets in Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Belgium.
It coincides with the first day of an International Public Hearing on the assassination of 7 members of the Colombian National Food Industry Workers Union (SINALTRAINAL) at Coca Cola’s bottling plants in Colombia. The hearing is in Atlanta, Georgia where Coke has its HQ.
The Colombia Solidarity Campaign is intending to bring a union speaker to Britain in September. To set up a meeting for him contact the campaign at  colombia_sc@hotmail.com.
