I find it rather sad that someone is making all the effort to design posters, etc, to attack the SWP. They must have a lot of time of their hands and must be highly jealous to engage in constant derision of that party.
No wonder the European left lurches from crisis to crisis; it is unable to move beyond smashing windows. Whenever there is a chance to seize the debate and put forward a coherent and intelligent socialist alternative, the left degenerates into something resembling a pub brawl with rather pointless arguments about events in 1920s Russia. Even anarchists keep harking back to Kronstadt whenever they feel intimidated by an SWP placard. This petty hostility between groups is more counter-revolutionary than anything any particular group might think.
It's time to have real debate about current issues in a civilised and intelligent manner, tolerating a wide spectrum of thought. Only then will the wider public be convinced of revolution as a viable solution to the problems that affect contemporary society.
You don't have to turn up to SWP meetings (personally, I think they are boring and patronising) or join the party, so why be so concerned about them?
Yeah it's all a bit pointless and pathetic huh? I'm sure many people in the SWP would share some of the same basic views and ideas everyone else on the left does, they just aren't aware how rubbish the SWP is. So let's stop bickering and have a bit of unity huh? Otherwise nothing will ever change.
I didn't take any time to design any posters; I just rearranged something the SWP produced themselves. There's a significant difference between theoretical bickering and actual programmatical differences which are directly linked to history and the present; unity for the sake of unity (popular frontism in short) is no superior to sectarian scholarly catfights and in many cases is far more dangerous when left unchecked and unexposed.
You sad, sad, sad little man. My apologies if you are a woman, but most of your sort are sexually frustrated little men. You are irrelevant. You are a historical artefact. A defender of the most murderous regimes that have ever disgraced the face of the earth. "Unity" with you would be the unity of the graveyard. The time has come for you to stop calling yourself after an early 20th century failed organisation and rejoin the human race. Do your views win you any friends? Get a life! All this advice only applies, of course, if you are truly a brain dead Leninist and not actually a state security operative charged with disrupting and discrediting any opposition from the left, "Left Opposition"!
I'm sorry, are you talking to me? I'm not a Leninist, or communist, or member of the SWP. I'm just a (perhaps naive) person very frustrated at the lack of unity and agreement on this side of the political spectrum! Is that so wrong? Jeez...
Mmmm, you're clever with the artwork, Left Opposition - but if you're bothered by the SWP, why not post something more serious against them?
P'raps some information on their new youth group, with your criticisms of it. Or, better still, how about something to convince readers of indymedia that the SWP is counter-revolutionary (as you think it is)?
