An open letter to “activists” and particularly “anarchists”:

Anarchists should separate themselves from the whole leftist approach to humanity (which is disgusting and patronising). This shouldn’t still need to be said…but…
Why do “activists” call themselves “activists” when they don’t do anything, except whine and moan in their little self-excluded, self-righteous cliques? When people fight-back, should it be stealing, rioting, vandalising or Peoples Vengeance stuff, the “activists” are seething. This pathetic whinging stance of the “serious politicals” has always been the case though. They want to “get on with their serious political work”, i.e. holding little snooty meetings, were they pat each other on the back & say what “lovely people” they are, to grin at each other and say how kind they are for “committing” their time to a “good cause”. They might get “active” by writing some turgid, irrelevant leaflet or organise some protest to “raise consciousness” or more specifically to chastise the majority population for not following their religion/political doctrine. They are terrified that people might actually fight back against the status quo because their specialist role would be made redundant. Widespread rebellion would mean these politico’s would be swept aside.
Obviously there are really sound people associated with the “activist” scene but they unfortunately are drowned out, made to compromise and tarnished by association. The AAK is made up of people who spent years (most of our lives so far) in the scene, we simply realised how retrograde and isolating it is. The “activists” are a specialised elite who feel that they have got “the truth”, that their crusade is the one that should be imposed, history is plagued by them. As soon as there has ever been a rebellion, an uprising, the “political groups” have stepped in and curtailed its radical aspect, imposing their wait, wait, and wait approach or imposing order, work, bureaucracy, and laws. The concept of “progress” has been held intact by the self-proclaimed “revolutionaries” and our lives (the “masses”) have been again fucked over by the power hungry, those who “know best”. We work our lives away to buy shit to fill the void of an empty life under capitalism and the “revolutionaries” offer us the same “after the revolution”. This has happened again and again and again.
“Hurrah for revolution and cannon come again, a beggar upon horse back lashes a beggar on foot. Hurrah for revolution and more rifle shot, the beggars have changed places but the lash goes on” WB Yates.
“The revolution evaporates and leaves behind only the slime of a new bureaucracy. The chains of tormented mankind are made out of red tape”. Franz Kafka.
The only revolutionary current is the angry people who aren’t following a religion, who aren’t serving a “higher cause”, who don’t want what “progress” has to offer, who don’t want to rule over people or be ruled (whatever the rulers call themselves). The role of the self-proclaimed “activist” therefore stands in the way of the destruction of this society. “Oh no”, we hear you whine, “they call for destruction, how AWWFULLY nasty”. The only aim of us, the ruled, is our own negation, our aim to end all hierarchy, all classes. An end to industrial society is an end to classes and environmental devastation. The aim is the free human being, free from hierarchy, free from the multiple oppressions that crush the human spirit and devour the planet everyday. A world without, rightism, leftism, sexism, racism, blah blah blah ism’s.
The only role for those who want to see an end to this vile society is to go out and attack it. To do otherwise is bogus and the “activists” know this. The pretence of the “activists” that they want an other world is one of the biggest obstacles to change actually occurring. The stress on positivity and playing by the rules shows that their main concern is the preservation of this society and in particular the maintenance of their role as “alternatives”, “rebels”, being apart from the crowd, followers, believers, elite’s wishing to impose their doctrines.
This is our first and last communiqué, all you whinger’s can bleat and moan all you like, call us what you like, those who understand, no explanation is necessary, those who don’t, no explanation is possible. Those who take this as a personal attack, seek a counsellor and try to get rid of your sad self-loathing.

And your point is...?

It does sound as if you are whingeing about people whingeing, but without yourself offering an alternative. You talk vaguely of attack, but attack what, and how?
You offer no alternative to the activists you appear to despise (and I can see your point there) or any alternative to- in fact, to cut to the chase, you don't seem to offer anything but more whingeing.
So, what exactly is your point?
just curious

In a second piece the writer acknowleges some of the defects in their original argument ie. that they (like you) grafted the situ critique of 1960 Marxist 'revolutionaries' directly onto the current activist scene without taking into account the differences in attitude, behavior and context. (it is relevant to the SWP 'sell the paper, build the party' lot who should take a look at it)
Incidently, I don't generally hear anarchists condemning 'stealing, rioting, vandalising or Peoples Vengeance stuff' per se, (that's what NGOs, GR and george monbiot are for). Having said this, presumably you don't punch every copper you come across in the face or steal all your food because it's likely to get you sent to jail. So presumably, you wouldn't rule out that tactical debates on their usefulness or otherwise in particular circumstances.
