Have you ever wondered why most things connected with regeneration always seem to take the same path? For instance have you ever wondered why the so called paid professionals administrators, outreach workers and consultants, who have been given the task of involving the community, nearly always use the same oppressive participation methodology? This is mainly because they have been trained to use a community participation methodology that incorporates social engineering, a participation methodology that subtly domesticates the community and excludes voiceful people who ask questions. Of course what is happening in regeneration partnerships pertaining to community participation and empowerment is much more complex because the process of domesticating people is gradual (over a long period of time).

Lets take a look at one aspect of what is happening in the Liverpool Kensington NDC community and this is not just unique to this community it is happening, at least to some extent, in regeneration initiatives throughout the whole of the UK.

For instance how are the University’s involved in the issue of regeneration? Well let’s take a look at what’s going in Liverpool John Moores University. Of course this is happening in most University’s.

John Moores University is named after the Moores family who own Littlewoods stores and until recently Littlewoods Pools. The Moores family are one of the richest families in the North West Region having an estimated fortune of £2.5 billion tucked away. It’s also interesting to note that there are only 446 dollar billionaires on the planet, so these people are in effect masters of the universe, having so much power that they can actually influence the way in which student are taught. The Moores family probably gave millions of pounds in support to this university. So it stands to reason that there will be a large influence from this family and the host of elitist sycophants who are indirectly connected to them either as elitist middle class lecturers or millionaire businessmen, who for one reason or other use the university. These people will have a large say on the way the syllabus pertaining to degrees are put together. In other words subjects, which are taught in the University, especially subjects pertaining to the community, will defiantly have a neo-liberal postmodernist ideology subtly incorporated within and throughout the whole ethos of the subject.

Did you know? At John Moores University they run a BA (Hons) degree in Applied Community Studies. There are many modules contained in this course and one of them is “Social Psychology and Group Behaviour” This module looks at how you and I interact within our community. It teaches the students how to subtly impose the elitist subjugation agenda onto the poor working class folk who live in a community that has been earmarked for regeneration. So as you can see the whole fabric of our society is permeated with this neo-liberal postmodernist subjugation ideology. In other words the community has an insurmountable fight on their hands to overcome what is being orchestrated against them and the only way to do this is for the community to unite as one body. It’s almost impossible for the community to unite as one body because the elitist postmodernist ideology dictates fragmentation in its whole ethos. This is why the regeneration administrators go to great lengths to divide the community up into many small groups and put great energy into stopping community forums in which all the community meet as one body of people.

The majority of the people who live in poor working class communities don’t even know what is happening to them and the so called paid professional community workers and consultants are not even aware of the fact that they are imposing a form of social engineering which incorporates control onto the people, in other words they are as blind as the people are as to what they are doing.
