When Hitler Came to Power and The Present Implosion of the American Left

When Hitler came to power in Germany in 1932 through very dubious means a very interesting process sprung up in which the left wing in Germany began to implode by a slow and torturous pattern of self inflicted wounds. So called left wing leaders began selling each other out and attacking each other as well as selling out the rank and file and then eventually Jews, Gays and then of course the final act of cowardice joining the Nazi party as a last ditch to stay alive and I might ad living in comfort.

This all took place, I feel because the left wing in Germany began to argue amongst itself over what Hitler’s rise to power meant knowing the election was stolen and that people began to die and disappear from within the left’s ranks. Many on the left in Germany saw and documented the role that wealthy American industrialists played in the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party and of course Germany’s economy, so there was great fear generated throughout the left wing on how big game that was a foot in Germany was and how far it would go.

Many left wing folks fled, many stayed but one thing is for certain, left wing opposition in Germany was completely stamped out and in fact took fifty years to recover only to find itself cow towing to the same politic now coming more directly from America.

Having just read Conspiracies or Institutions? 9-11 and Beyond by Stephen R. Shalom and Michael Albert in Z magazine we can now assume the same fear and confusion that gripped the left in Germany in the thirties of the last century has taken hold over at Z and in the hearts of Michael Albert and Stephen R. Shalom.

"This article" as my spouse Namiko put it " is disserving of the New York Post not Z magazine." When the left wing press begins to show the cowardice that this article displays and the fact that they have done absolutely no investigative work to corroborate some of the facts that Albert and Shalom attempt to strike down as theories confirms to me that Shalom and Albert have lost their credentials within the left wing press.

What really kills me is that they found it necessary to personally attack Mike Ruppert and Jared Israel as wing nuts in order to make their point of saying watch out kids your being led astray. As if we can’t sort and sift fact from theory our selves. Using the tactic of attacking the messenger because you can’t refute the facts is as old as the hills and blatantly obvious. When politicos make personal attacks it shows an agenda that has greater implications. It didn’t require Mike Ruppert or anyone else for that matter to convince me of the facts that led me to the only conclusion that I could come to, it was my own research as a serious journalist. The only conclusion I can come to is that the Bush Administration ordered the Air Guard to stand down the morning of 9/11.


And of course Albert and Shalom did not mention former FBI Deputy Director John O’Neil chief terroist investigator who resigned in protest from the FBI a month before 9/11because the Bush regime ordered him not to investigate the Taliban , Osama and Al Queda. John O’Neil by the way died in the WTC on 9/11 at his new job as security chief for the WTC. Hell, even Richard Butler the former chief arms inspector for Iraq brought these facts up on Paula Zahn’s CNN show. But Butler has seemingly been banished as a talking head since.

If this article were truly an honest discussion of the facts surrounding 9/11 it might have resembled the conversation I had with the former secretary of transportation under Clinton on WGBH’s Cape and Islands station when I pointed out that the famous golfer Paine Stewart got F-16s in ten minutes from the moment his plane went off course and that it was impossible for four jet liners full of hundreds of people to go off course and not be intercepted by the Air Guard within minutes. The former secretary of transportation completely agreed with my factual material and comment further.

And let me make it completely clear that I have absolutely no association what so ever with Jared Israel or Mike Ruppert and in fact am published on Znet.org..I completely agree with Shalom and Albert that we should not be side lined by conspiracy theories and that we should keep working on the cause of bringing enlightened policy to bear but when an election is stolen and the Reichstag is burning it is time for the left to unite and revolt against what is so obviously a right wing corporate coup that even my own children can see it.

I can understand Shalom and Albert and many on the left being afraid of losing their jobs, their homes and even possibly their families to the 1950s style political cleansing that Lynn Cheney is conducting at this time. But the facts surrounding 9/11 are similar to the facts that Phillip Agee dug up surrounding the process the former president Bush used to trick us into war with Iraq. Fascists are sloppy conspirators and as long as they are willing to kill for what they want and the left keeps on taking it, this vicious cycle will never end. We didn’t nail them for JFK,MLK,RFK, all the Panthers they killed, Nixon’s dirty tricks squad, Iran/Contra and Bush/Gillespie/Saddam Gate because of cowardice but if we don’t do it now we will end up just like Germany did sixty years ago. I would gladly give up my job, my house, my family and even my life to reverse this coup, how bout you.
