WOMEN AND WAR
VIOLENCE, REFUGEES, MIGRATION, MINORITIES
Women collectives and organisations from the Balkans, European countries, Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine, are invited to the workshop entitled “Women and War: violence, refugees, migration and minorities”, to take place in Thessaloniki on Friday 12 of July, in the framework of the third preparatory meeting for the formation of the European Social Forum, that will take place in Thessaloniki (Greece) on 13-14 July 2002. We consider that your significant experience will contribute to the establishment of a net of groups and organizations that will exchange information and elaborate common ways of action, considering relations between men and women and the present situation of women in the world.
We are ready to provide private accommodation and a percentage of the travelling expenses for people coming from the Balkans, Turkey, Lebanon, Cyprus, Israel and Palestine. Due to limited time we suggest that you reply as soon as possible, to allow time for arranging the technical details.
We can assist in issuing of visas through invitations whenever necessary. Your presence will be extremely important for us.
