Why oh why do you lefties constantly exaggerate the numbers of people on demos? It just gives us a false sense of success and prevents us accurately criticising our methods.

There were about 1,500 people there. That is not many. We need to look at why this is and question ourselves, we can't just get a small demo, lie about the numbers and say "yeah we're doing great, the revolution's just around the corner now...".

Maybe one thing can be drawn from this: that working class people do not like patronising middle-class lefties going into poor areas and saying "refugees are welcome here" and then fucking off back to the suburbs. We need long-lasting community-based projects where people can work together, tackle the actual problems working class people face in their everyday lives and realise that the enemy isn't the Romanian down the road on £36 a week, it's the fucking State and the rich bastards it serves.
