BUSH'S MIDDLE EAST PEACE PLAN

rikki | 25.06.2002 00:16

Did anyone notice his corporate agenda in Bush's peace plan?

Bush has come up with a great plan for Palestine (yeah, right!) He wants Arafat to go, then he wants Palestine to have multi-party elections and 'to open up the the market economy' (there it is:). In return there's a vague promise of some future Palestinian State, but no details of where and how large this will be. Nice one Dubya! I can se that going down really well in the war-zone that is the Occupied Territories. Trouble is, the media will make it out to be a perfectly reasonable scheme and when the Palestinians don't play ball he'll start using the Terrorist word again - no talk of the terrorist war criminal Sharon stepping down though - what a surprise.

What hope do the Palestinians have now?

A lot of people were hoping the Mr. Bush's speech would present some form of road map for eventual Palestinian freedom and independent state.

Now that we've all heard what was said, does anyone (especially the Palestinians) see any hope for the future?

The Idiot...

Does anyone actually take this guy seriously any more? I think the only way to deal with such an idiot is to laugh at him. Why do the Palestinian leaders even listen to him and respond to the crap that he comes out with. In media interviews, I suggest they just dismiss his crap with laughter and don't sink to replying.
