Israels Retreat: The Wall

The New Wall: Implications

Just more than 2 years ago Israel was in Lebanon, was building settlements like there was no tomorrow in the west Bank and the Gaza strip and had turned the Palestinian authority into its policeman hunting down Arabs like dogs...

Israel is now forced to admit defeat without admitting it is on the run. The Palestinian intifida a rebellion so great it has shaken the Zionist entity to its roots and its corrupt Arab backers. No regime in history can rely on terror alone and Israel has shown over the last 2 years it can no longer contain the resistance to its rule.

A combination of Islamic Hamas and Islamic Jihad as well as secular Palestinians have taken on board Israels resounding defeat in the Lebanon and have forced Isreal into retreat. The expuslion of hundreds of thousands of poor Palestinians from Israel proper, this US sponsored ethnic cleansing equal to the ethnic cleansing carried out by US proxy forces in the Balkans, led indirectly to the Palestinian intifada. An intifada which will only stop when the ZIonist entity is crushed.

The massacre in Jenin led to the threat of an Arab oil boycott which forced Bush to ask his mad dog Sharon to withdraw. The weakness of the Arabs is in their disunity and the 'strength' of Israel flows from this disunity. But the course of history cannot be arrested by strength alone. It can be slowed down, it can appear stalled, but it cannot change. Israel is between a rock and hard place.

The creation of a Zionist Berlin wall is a sign of weakness, behind which Israel hopes to launch air and rocket attacks and starve Palestinians into submission, something which the rest of the Arab world will not allow. It is a provisional measure allowing the re-groupment of forces, the propping up of Arafats corrupt regime with the purpose of creating an 'independent' statelet so as to weaken the resistance which has gained in both stature and strength.

Possibly allowing the Americans a 'breather' to attack Iraq.

The Wall is to stop the Palestinians from slaughtering Israeli woman and children. When you deal with evil blood thirsty Palestinian savages who enjoy slaughtering Israeli kids in buses, shopping centers, disco's, pizzeria's, weddings, Bar Mitzvah's, shoe stores, trains and every other area, Palestinians can massacre Israeli civilians, you have to put up a wall. You wonder why Israel doesn't respond with massive force, to the genocide the Palestinians have been commiting against Israeli civilians.

Suicide bomber kills 19 on crowded bus
By Steve Weizman, AP
18 June 2002

Israeli police said at least 19 people were killed and more than 40 wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up on a crowded city bus in Jerusalem during this morning's rush hour. Many on the bus were school children.

The blast tore through the bus, peeling off its roof and sides, as it waited at traffic lights near a busy junction.

"There was a huge explosion, smoke and pieces of the bus and body parts were flying everywhere. It was horrible," a witness, who only gave his name as David, told Israel Army Radio.

One woman was screaming at volunteers who were collecting remains at the scene, "Where is my sister? Where is my sister?"

Jerusalem police had been on high alert after receiving warnings that a suicide bomber was trying to carry out an attack in Jerusalem. Acting on specific intelligence information, police set up checkpoints throughout the city.

The suicide attack came as President George Bush was preparing to outline his vision for an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal and the steps needed to get there. Mr Bush has repeatedly criticized Yasser Arafat, saying the Palestinian leader has not done enough to prevent terror attacks in Israel.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Palestinian extremists have carried out about 70 suicide bomb attacks in the past 21 months of Israeli-Palestinian fighting. There was no immediate comment by the Palestinian Authority, which in recent months has condemned attacks on Israeli civilians.

Israel held Mr Arafat responsible. "The Palestinian Authority is drenched in terror. This terror has seeped into (Palestinian) society," said David Baker, an official in Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's office.

The bus exploded just before 8am (0500 GMT) near the Patt intersection in southern Jerusalem. Ruth Elmaliach, a teacher at a high school near the scene of the explosion, said she was in her car, waiting for the light to change at the junction, when the bomb went off.

Dozens of students were on the bus. I saw how the bus blew up. ... The bus is always packed at this hour. ... now we're checking to see if all the students have arrived but I'm afraid some of them have not," she told Israel Radio.

Earlier this week, Israeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said five Palestinian suicide bombers were trying simultaneously to infiltrate Israel to carry out attacks. One bomber blew himself up near an Israeli border police patrol yesterday, killing himself but causing no other injuries.

My thoughts on the wall

Its stupid. I understand the sentiment behind it - keep the bombers out, but I don't think it will work. The Israeli right are against the wall too, because they think it is the first step towards giving the Palestinians their own state. I feel that if they really believed the wall would be effective, then they would withdraw the tanks from the Palestinian Arab villages. But they aren't. Its not apartheid like people here are saying, not as exciting as that, its just Sharon time-wasting so he doesn't have to negotiate again.

A wall to keep the bombers out - not a particularly convincing case. More like an attempt to futher ghettoise the Palestinians. Shades of Poland circa 1940s.

Israel's response is not directed at Palestinian citizens in restaurants, cafe's, buses and movie theaters, nor does Israel place bombs in centers of population to go off and randomly kill whoever may be near. Israel only acts to protect its citizens from the incessant danger of attack. The strikes are targeted. They are directed at the source of the problem: The Palestinian leaders who send these suicide bombers that have massacred hundreds of Israeli civilians. The Palestinians on the other hand, there goal is to slaughter as many Israeli civilians as possible. Israel has acted so restrained to the Palestinian slaughter of Israeli woman and Kids. The Helicopters are used in a limited way, only to target the Palestinian terrorists behind the slaughter of Israeli civilians. They are not used to target civilians. Even though 85 percent of the Palestinians support massacring Israeli woman and children. Even though, Palestinian terrorists use civilians as human shields and have these bomb factories in civilian area's. If you are that blind not to see whats going on here. I feel sorry for you. All the terror is initiated by the Palestinians. They slaughter Jewish woman and children in buses, shopping centers, disco's, pizzeria's and cafe's. Israel responds in a contrained way against these terrorists and people like you criticize Israel. You are a joke. No one on either side would be killed or injured, if the Palestinians stop killing Israeli civilians. The problem is, Arafat doesn't want to stop the war, because he's getting rich off this war. By having a terrorist war, the Muslim countries are giving him millions. Arafat is just another corrupt dictator. Since the Oslo Accords, with the millions Arafat has received from the U.S, Japan and EU, the PA has fostered hate and incitement to kill Jews on television and radio, schoolbooks and pamphlets. Suicide bombing are glorified by the Palestinians, becuse the Palestinian think by slaughtering Israeli woman and children. Jew will leave Israel and Israel will become the 22nd Islamic Arab terrorist state.
