Basically they can tell us any old shit they like.
The BBC and the rest of the media mugs report it without any serious verification. The activist movement should start to invent a few monsters, would be an amuser to start playing them at their own game....

Ok, so people can make dirty bombs. I'm sure the terrorists have known about this for years (it's fucking obvious if you blow up a bunch of reasonably radioactive shit that it will go everywhere and give people cancer). I'm not sure why other people didn't figure it out. It isn't that much more worrying than the fact that anyone can make a bomb out of household detergents. "ooh beware americans". if Al-Qaeda were getting ready to terrorise people (use fear for political gain) with a dirty bomb, then the US government is currently doing just that but in reverse. "holy shit everyone. look at us. we're protecting you from these arseholes". Wouldn't be surprised if it was a plant or if it was just some random fuck. Enemy Combatant my ass.

Let's be honest - do you really think the BBC and all the other major western networks are MUGS? Come on - they have an agenda that is governed by that of their respective governemnt at the time - and it plays a key role in any strategy used. The media is the first technology to be used as a weapon in any war.
