On Wednesday 12th June Council Workers in London took part in the 2nd sucessful strike in support of a London Weighting Pay Claim.
On Wednesday 12th June Council Workers in London took part in the 2nd sucessful strike in support of a London Weighting Pay Claim. Most Council Workers respected the picket line, although a few scabs went in. The strike, called by UNISON, continues tomorrow. If you can show solidarity by attending a picket line at any council office between 8am and 10am.
The strike has forced the Council to the negociating table and talks are to be held tomorrow (Thursday 13th June) at the Association of London Government, 59 and a half Southwark Street, SE1. There will be a lobby from 1 to 3pm to which all are welcome. Nearest Tube london Bridge, Borough High Street exit.
