I was reading an article on the Israeli newspaper Haaretz's website, and I saw a flashing banner saying (in Hebrew) 'Israel to join the EU NOW!'. Interested, I clicked on it. Apparently, this is an innitiative of the Transnational Radical Party , who have half a dozen or so other projects they are working on: getting people to fly Tibetan flags, abolishing the death penalty, legalisation of drugs in all of Europe.

Questions: Who are these people? And secondly, what's with the Israel thing? It doesn't fit in with any of their other lefty activities, and the 'strategic' reasons they give are not very convincing.

I just want to say, I'm not promoting or advertising for these people, I'm just curious.
