BBC 4s Worthy Documentary on Israel

rftghyjbk | 10.06.2002 21:27

The BBC have given a treat to the section of society that watches BBC4 of a documentary about an American/Israeli conspiracy to attack an American spy ship during the 1967 war seemingly to provide justification for a US nuclear strike and subsequent US/Israeli invasion of Egypt.

Made good viewing but I can't imagine them ever showing it to as many people as they show Eastenders to.

Will be repeated tonight at 11.50 and on sunday at 10.10

It was very good. in fact it is fairly big news in the US.
I would suggest checking out the USS libery web site too for useful info on the programme and incident.

What parallels can be drawn from this?

The same US/Israeli Conspirators attacked the WTC and the Pentagon and killed 3,000 American citizens as a pretext to blame Arabs and bomb the Middle East?

there was another on BBc2 sunday evening

11.06.2002 16:42

it was about the siege of bethlehem. it had quite a few worthwhile points to make, featured the peace activists who broke through the lines (with suggestions of how they were treated by the israelis behind the scenes) although, as always, it made the usual errors of the BBC (striving for 'unbias', looking for a 'moderating' force between the combatants &c)it was a fairly good introductory piece on the desecration of the holiest site in christianity, and which christains did almost nothing to prevent. jesus is dead !
