STOP THE CITY IF IRAQ IS ATTACKED
-------------------------------------

In the event that Iraq is attacked we call upon everyone to converge at the Bristol Peace Vigil on the evening following the outbreak of war. On May Day we proved we can stop this city, and we will do so again if Iraq is attacked.

The preparations for war against Iraq are intensifying with each day that passes. George Bush and Tony Blair claim that this war is necessary because Iraq might possess weapons of mass destruction.

The only certainty is that the U.S & U.K possess nuclear weapons, & that Depleted Uranium has been used against Iraq. Radioactive war is being waged in our name. Any attack on Iraq will further inflame the Middle east.

The conflicts in Palestine & Kashmir clearly mirror the war in Afghanistan. This is a lawless world order which sanctions the invasion of entire nations in response to lone terrorist attacks. This insanity must be stopped.

-----------------------------------------------
PEACE VIGIL : Mon-Fri 5.30-6.30 & Sat 3.00-4.00
(opposite the Hippodrome, Bristol City Centre)
These times will be open-ended in the event of war

Why not stop the City BEFORE an attack?

Something like this which looks like a preventative protest will only work if the authorities know that you will mobilise in the event of our attacking iraq. if they dont know about it then this would be pretty pointless.

We're worried that, as in every war, thousands of innocent civilians will be killed. Doesn't bother you?
