Powderkeg Britain will ignite if Kashmir explodes

Odin | 09.06.2002 21:03

The continuing standoff between nuclear powers India and Pakistan over the issue of Kashmir could spell trouble on the streets of multi-racial Britain if the crisis deepens.

There are people from all countries and communities within the Indian sub-continent presently living in the UK, in places such as London, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Bradford, Leicester and Glasgow. These communities continue to adhere to their century old religions, beliefs and traditions. Such adherence to faith while being thoroughly admirable in itself could lead to an explosive situation in British towns where these diverse communities live close to one another.

In towns where members of the Muslim Pakistani and (predominantly Hindu) Indian communities co-exist, some people are already expressing concern. It is very much hoped that whispered words stay that way rather than becoming loud, offensive or worse still physically provocative. Against this background we should recall that in Oldham last year the Muslim youths who carried out rioting for several weekends deliberately attacked Hindu owned businesses in echoes of tension from the sub-continent.

It is clearly inevitable in a multi-faith and multi-racial society that there will be occasional differences of opinion between different communities and while it is again hoped that peaceful methods are used to resolve any issue, it must be seen that Blair's Britain of 2002 is a potential powder keg with millions of people from almost every country, every religion and every culture now living within our shores.

The British National Party calls on all ethnic minorities to recognise that the vast majority of White Britons wish to go about their own business unhindered by the disputes that may exist between two countries several thousands of miles away.

Asylum issues, immigration and the "race debate" are making headlines almost every day, thus it serves no purpose to escalate any concern that is already present in the White community, many of whom believe "enough is enough" and that the multi-racial situation in an overcrowded Britain being forced upon them is now unacceptable.

It will take courage and a demonstration of self-discipline by members of all communities in Britain to ensure the situation of non-confrontation continues and we can all do our bit to talk about issues such as race, faith and culture in an open and frank manner without fear of accusations of racism and intolerance.

The BNP have been talking with its friends in the Hindu and Sikh communities on this and other issues and we are adamant that we will work together to end the madness of the multi-racial experiment, forced upon us by the demands of international business concerns.
