ENORMOUS protest against UNFAIR INTERNATIONAL TRADE

John | 09.06.2002 19:48

Wednesday 19th June there will see the largest ever mass lobby of parliament.

10,000 people are predicted to come and let the government know that we are not satisfied with the (lack of) fairness of rules such as those agreed at the WTO.

The "mass lobby" is organised by the Trade Justice Movement, a coallition of the following campaign groups.

Most of these groups aren't explicitly anarchist or marxist, but what they're doing is really good. Let's join in.

This event is easily as important as Genoa. The genoa protests were a diverse mix of people such as the following, and direct activists like us. It would be shame if this protest (they're not calling it a protest, they're calling it a "mass lobby" but whatever) was entirely NGOs and no radical people like us (well, many these people are radical but we're more radical ;-)). So let's all go. It'll be a fun day out.

Um... and let's have a discussion about what we should do at the event. Do we want to join in with their tactics, or shall we do something less fluffy or what? Let's talk about it. Either way, we should definitely go. It would be silly to just go to work or whatever when this is going on.
