IOFs crimes continue

Below is a brief of the major events and developments on the Palestinian arena during the past 24 hours:


The Israeli occupation forces have penetrated deep inside the Betounia Town adjacent to Ramallah, using several tanks and military vehicles, reaching the western industrial zone of the district. Eyewitnesses said that these forces positioned themselves at the center of the town and commenced another arrest campaign amongst the Palestinian civilians.


Seeing the vast destruction caused by the latest Israeli attack on the Presidential HQ, Mrs. Louisa Morgantini a member of the EU Parliament, expressed her astonishment and worries, calling on the USA and the Russian Federation Administration to put an end to the Israeli government’s prime minister Ariel Sharon’s aggressive policy towards the Palestinians according to which he is determent to erase the Palestinians and their Leadership.


For the second day in a row, the Israeli occupation forces are imposing a tight curfew on the occupied section of the old city of Hebron known as (h2). Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces have ransacked the Palestinian houses searching for civilians to arrest them, leaving a big number of injured and terrorized citizens and vandalized belonging. The witnesses also said that the Israeli occupation forces prevented the wounded from receiving first aid or from reaching any hospital for medical care.


The Israeli occupation forces wounded a Palestinian retarded citizen in by shooting him in the thigh, when Israeli snipers stationed at the eastern cemetery, opened machinegun fire towards him. His condition, according to medical sources, is stable. The Israeli occupation forces have also severely wounded the Palestinian citizen Hasan Torkey who was evacuated to the Jenin hospital in a very bad condition.


In Ramallah, the Governmental Education Office has suspended the third semester’s exams, due to the Israeli repeated incursions to the residential areas in the city.


Last night, the Israeli occupation forces stationed at the illegal Jewish settlement of Gani Tal in the Gaza Strip, opened their machinegun fire towards the residential area in the Alrabwat east to Khan Younis, damaging several houses.


Under the protection of heavy machinegun fire, Israeli occupation soldiers accompanied by several surveyors and military bulldozers this early morning hours, they shoveled, leveling Palestinian agricultural lands in Beit Hanoon, north to Gaza Strip, barb wiring vast private lands preventing the owners from coming close to their property. Local citizens said that the Israeli occupation forces have marked the area (Inside the Marked “A” of Palestinian fully controlled zone) in order to confiscate it.
