Umoja is Back !

Earlier in the year, it was reported that hit West end show Umoja (Spirit of Togetherness) from South Africa had been evicted by the nasty local council.

The pretext given was that the performance (which has received excellent reviews from all quarters, including Bill Wyman) was too noisy and had been upsetting the residents. However, a quick recce of the theatre showed that there were almost no neighbours in the area at all (Holborn). Most odd. Perhaps there was some other reason for the ban ? The performers then took to the sqaure outside, and gave an impromptu rendering of the show for free, as ticket- holders had not been notified of the situation. All this was reported on London news (and see short reports on IMC too).
Now, however, Umoja are back, further down the road at the Queens Theatre, near Piccadilly Circus.
