“Israel is still committing murder, arrests and occupation”

Ramallah June 1st 2002 Wafa; a Palestinian official spokesman stated the following:

The Israeli occupation forces continued their military campaign on the city of Nablus and its refugee camps of Balata, Askar and Beit Alma’, turning the Ibn Alhaitham School into a concentration camp, where they detained over 400 Palestinian citizens then led them to Howarah concentration camp.

Yesterday morning the Israeli occupation forces killed one Palestinian citizen, from Deir Sharaf and dozens of wounded citizens were evacuated to the Nablus hospital, while highly ranked Fattah figures were arrested.

In the Refugee Camp of Balata the Israeli occupation forces demolished and cracked houses and other constructions, using military bulldozers, and blew up the main electricity generator, cutting the power from the Camp and the eastern sections of the city of Nablus.

Khan Younis:

The Palestinian 21 years old citizen Hazem Salah Durgham was found shot dead by several bullets, eyewitnesses said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Neve Dkalim opened their machinegun fire towards his house killing him.

Tulkarem:

The Israeli occupation forces using several tanks reoccupied the city of Tulkarem reaching the main square, terrorizing the citizens and destroying their property and imposing a tight curfew.
