Since the beginning of April there has been an emerging new movement in support with people of Palestine in Belgium. On April 7th about 30.000 to 50.000 people marched in Brussels. This was the largest peace demo Belgium has known for years. This movement is mainly driven by the Arab comunity, for whom this is strongly linked to the struggle against racism in Europe. It has also led to the empowerment of this Arab community.  The Belgian governement is not so pleased with this new awakening.  In the city of Antwerp for instance, all  public expressions in support for alestine are forbidden.
