Way back when the Huxley intellectual elite knew what was going on and how the social mind could be controlled so that freedoms could be voluntarily relinquished in obeisance to the state. A righteous prediction and knowledge indeed..

Makes for good listening, Huxely got it wright years ago didnt he.Funny thing is i only read his book Brave New World only a few weeks ago.The standardized world Huxely portrays in his writing is now with us you only have to look around yourself.People are brainwashed into a life of consumerism everything must look the same, this is reflected in the main concerns they have.Concerns which reflect their pre-occupation with houses , cars , cutting grass , do-it-yourself , and shopping , all encouraged by the constant tv adds.To quote a comment i heard only the other day , if its on tv it must be true musnt it?Speaks volumes for our society i think!

I think its a real mistake to think people are all believing this shit. The media create the myth that all the 'masses' care about- though there is no 'mass'- is consumerism, they're just manufacturing consent.
