...a group of students from Keele University did campagin at Clayton E$$O station in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The five of us did stuff like hold up banners such as "Beep if you don't buy E$$O", (people did!) and hand out leaflets for those who went to fill up. Two cars actually parked at E$$O, read our leaflet, and then drove on to the next station! It was real effective, and the police weren't involved either!
