UNISON ONE DAY STRIKE

In the deregulated labour market of London the misleaders of the
unions known for abstaining from any international solidarity
marches, from advising their members to not vote Labour and from not
supporting employees when in conflict called a strike, which was
never publicised and which deliberately has a central feature of
divide and rule built into union policy.

The NUT called a one day strike for an innner London allownace. The
union for the caretakers in school called a one day strike today, but
whilst most schools closed in the previous strike today they were
conspicuously open. The public sector unions are keeping employees
divided over strike so a London based general strike in the public
sector doesn't occur showing in practice that the union tops are
against strikes.

The level of sub-contracting is so large that those striking will
also become victims to Blairs continuing -deregulation, school
canteen employees, school caretakers, minibus drivers for councils
etc. It isn't simply a strike about pay and about the fact that whole
swathes of people can no longer make ends meet, with pay stuck
somewhere in 1983. But also about pensions and work patterns.

If the union misleaders were serious and they clearly are not they
would call out everybody who is unikonised as they all have the same
issues. If the 'left' was serious it would start to propagate now why
union members to protest, occupy against their union leaders as they
are the main bulwark which needs to be crossed if strikes are to win
and Blair defeated. I mean Prescott is still sponsored by the RMT and
the 'leninist' leadership of Bob Crow for fucks sake.
