WHEN GOOD COPS GO BAD - GARDA IN DISGRACE
Garda attacked minors, women, children, disabled and passersby after totaly loosing control of themselvs and the situation on mondays Reclaim The Streets Mayday Party

The Battle For Dame Street
After ripping off there ID numbers, Cops randomley attacked Protesters and innocent bystanders in sceens remanisent of the RUC attacking Civil Rights demonstraters in 1960s Northen Ireland.
Gardai in Disgrace, Shock and outrage at this sickening assult on democracy.

Garda acted with impunity once again showing there disregard for the Law and Order they claim to protect.
The so called Justice Minister should resign in shame after his brutal thugs got cought in the act. police Brutality and random violance, who polices the police? Gardai investigating Gardai, Free and Fair? or a sham, a coverup and a whitewash?
Serious questions are being asked, where was this violace directed from? Europe? the Government? or just the over zelous thugs in uniforms? The Irish council for Civil Liberties condemed the "Garda Attacks" and "Excessive Garda force"

Garda and Govenment are on the back foot after the sickening pictures of police violance were sereened on RTE/TV3 (well done Indymedia!)
This was just another example of the crackdown on civil liberties in Ireland and worldwide since Sept 11th.
Car Free Day RTS 8 arrested
Anti War Demos 4 arrested
Burlington PPP Protest 18 arresated

Anyone who did not see this coming has not been on a Irish Demo recentley or on a Anti globalisation Protest before.
Garda are giving "No Comment" but all Ireland whitnessed there disgusting actions on Monday night.
Irelands Shame - The right to public protest is at the heart of a democracy and should be respected.
Stand up to violance - Be Peaceful - Thursday 6pm Pearse Street Garda Station.

When will they realise that by attacking anti-globaliseation protests they only make the "Movement of Movements" even Stronger. (Seattle and Genoa)
No police were hert in the "riot" and there is no evidence (picture or video) that the protesters were in anyway violent, there is however a very large amount of evidence to support the claims that the Police attacked (unprovoked) a peaceful street party leading too 14 people needing hospitle treatment.

The Gards irrisponsible actions put everybody at risk and they must be held accountable for there sickening acts of random violance against unarmed people.

Jail Cells Beckon for some Pigs ...

and their political puppetmasters responsible for this nauseating and needless brutality. Imagine how this could have ended if those pigs had been armed?

Dont' let this be whitewashed. Congratulations on getting the video out.

For you Guardai reading this - to have it said that the RUC would be proud of your behaviour, well, that has to be the ultimate badge of shame. Deal with it.!!

This will certainly be food for thought for many Irish people.

Oh, and yes, kiddies, if you enjoyed having 7-colours of shit clubbed out of you by some smiling uniformed thugs, then don't forget to vote EU-NATO in the come-again referendum - you're gonna just love it.

The video shows some strong imagery, but it doesn’t show what the protestors were doing in the build up to the police violence. I refuse to believe it was totally unprovoked. Can anyone shine any light on the idea?

you'd like to know how to provoke a pig into giving you a radical new hairstyle with his club or rifle-butt?

Here are the secret formulae:

1. Resist just one whimsical order, whether based on any law known or as yet unimagined.

2. Fail to fall to your knees on State's command.

3. Fail to sit up and beg for a dose of the truncheon.

4. Fail to cuff and stuff yourself.

If this doesn't bring the desired results, you'll have to really max the provocation, push the envelope, etc.etc. by:

4. having a placard

5. or, a political position opposed to that of Government

6. or, chanting a slogan

More than this is exaggeration. Best of luck with your demo.

P.S.: The Guardai obviously thought they were in England there for a moment, where this kind of thing is run-off-the -mill. However, in Ireland, where the concept of 'direct action' has something of a palpable history, it would surprise me very much if the individuals involved here thought by any means that they could get away with this kind of stunt for very long, without having certain stern acolytes of Judge-Dredd take a keen interest in the whereabouts of their domiciles, before coming-a-knocking in the night.

Acoyltes in the night?

Is this serious? Do you really imagine people turning up in the middle of the night on a Garda's doorstep? That sounds a lot like a thinly veiled threat..

It is a threat, though not from me - I'm just pointing out that that's the way things are in Ireland - there are still people who object strongly to being beaten over the head by Policemen for exercising their legitimate rights, and they will not care if it's the RUC or Guardai, the stitches will be the same, and the reaction will be the same, and our friends would be wiser to keep this fact in mind before getting carried away beating people up in order to pander to the whim of some cheap political whores.
