Chief Inspector M Jones of Neath Port Talbot Police wrote to Neath Port Talbot Council.

Chief Inspector M Jones of Neath Port Talbot Police station wrote to Neath Port Talbot Council telling them that Wiltshire Police had written to him that The Green Gathering itself was a source of violent Crime and that the Police did not think that the Welsh Green Gathering had laid on adequate security measures.

Neath Council, affeared of riot and damage, cancelled the booking.

Meanwhile the Police allow/encourage/escort the BNP like
last year.
Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Dangerous those yoghurt weaving hippies selling each other hair braids!

I think this is actually really serious. Once again we see the bigoted actions of the police against anything from the "counter culture". OK so there will be lots of people smoking weed and maybe dropping some acid, big deal, that happens at EVERY festival.

As for violence? Er, can't think of much at a green festival. What about the violence every Saturday night in any town in Britain, fuelled by LEGAL alcohol from LICENCED premises?

The environmental movement is under attack from business, Neo-Labour (just as bad as the Tories), the media and the police.
