A british woman, Jo (Wilding/Williams/Harrison) is currently on
hunger strike in a cell at Tel Aviv airport with US woman called
Huwaida. Two other british women, Kate Thomas & Marcia Tubbs, are
being held somewhere else.

They are on HUNGER & WATER strike in solidarity with the
Palestinians, especially those in the church of the nativity. Along
with other internationals they were arrested for attempting to take
food to the church.

They not want to be deported for taking (inadequate amounts, but all
they could manage) food to the church - ie humanitarian aid to people
being starved, killed, etc against law. They have been given no
reason for the deportation and 10 years banishment. They intend to
be too weak to be put on the plane.

She & Huwaida are actually making an impression on their Israeli
guards - astounded that they are prepared to suffer. She has small
window over baggage area of airport where they are being held in
deportation cells. Small, white cell, 4 bunkbeds, 5 people in last
night -NO EXERCISE facilities

They have seen the british consul once who said she would get their
bags to the airport. They also should see a lawyer today. They are in
contact with church people - apparently there has been no
indiscriminate firing since the internationals got there, so they
feel they have made a difference.

The women were arrested last Thursday, along with several other
internationals. They were then
dropped off separately by the police -without any ID, phone or any
idea of where they were. Four of the women (who are now about to be
deported managed to meet up... but hey still do not know what
happened to the Swedish woman who was dropped off first at 2 am on
the outskirts minus phone and passport.

Appreciate that there are gaps in this narrative, but it is as much
information as we have at the moment.
