You want "ordinary" people or not?

Why can't this be on a Saturday? Some of us have to work you know! If it was Sat I could get there from London. As it is there'll only be the "usual suspects" at this protest.

I am confused

Against whom exactly do you figure on protesting?

The BNP nazis who were elected or the folks of Burnley who cast their ballots for them? Or against the non-nazi forces of Burnley for not uniting behind a single anti-nazi candidate considering that they knew the election system is "first past the post"?

Hey, that's what democracy is all about. That the people get to make choices and NOT that they are somehow compelled to make GOOD choices.

Shamocracy

Anyone who seriously believes that we live in a democrcy must have their head in a bucket.

Big business finances what's left of the pseudo-democratic system that is political representation, and all the important decisions are made by unelected bureaucrats.

That's why it's important to take to the streets; in order to reclaim democracy.

Becos the right wing capitalist media have given so much coverage to pro nazi groups such as the BNP, it is essential to get out on the streets to demonstrate against the BNP, maybe anti nazis might get some fuking media coverage. The BNP with their news blitz think they represent the working class, they dont, they represent the rich capitalists version of the working class, loyal but poor, tipping their caps to their social/class superiors as they beg for crumbs, and then encourage each other to fight over the crumbs with their black/ethnic minority neighbours.
the BNP represent middle class/middle england tea brigade, loyal but poor/sexually perverted ex squaddies such as convicted rapist Robert bennet and binky old boy/blue rinse brigade snobs who tolerate child molestors and rapists so long as their loyal white people.

Let the BNP get media coverage

As soon as they open their mouths they sound stupid. One good example being that fella at Leeds university who thought Lennie Henry marrying Dawn French was regretable.
There view points are vile and their intellectual arguments are weak. But in a democracy they should be allowed to run for office. If people dont like it what do they suggest. censorship. If so who decides what view point are acceptable?
