"I'm being followed by 2 FAT COPPERS! "

My experience of being harrassed by the Met on the morning of Mayday, whilst I am a defendant in the WOMBLES7 trial.
Mayday morning, and I wake up in a secret burrow, feelings of excitement and trepidation washing over me. Knock about on the net for a bit, and then set off with a mate, planning to see what's happening at the Mayday Social Centre before getting my tube from Liverpool Street. Stroll down to Shoreditch with a mate.
As we approach the Social Centre, I see a few coppers about but it doesn't seem like anything to bother about. Stroll past and notice an Inspector giving me the eye. Suddenly 2 coppers (BS607 and HT640 start tailing us. I stop, wait for them to draw up close and ask if i can help them. One of them says "You know the score"! I don't, and they don't want to elaborate. Shortly afterwards a group of about 10 leave the Social Centre, and they too are being tailed, though they aren't searched, which is better than last year!
I buy a pen and take down my coppers numbers. They continue to follow, and we take them for a bit of a run I can still do it, but I could do with being a bit fitter! At the station I get a new crew (SX4 and CO462 who initially deny they are following me), and take them for a circular walk around the eastbound and westbound platforms of Liverpool Street (8 times!) Each time I tell the commuters on my platform that I am just taking my cops for a walk, as they need the exercise. They look less and less impressed. Finally get on a train (they know exactly where I'm going but follow me anyway. I put my overalls on in the tube in front of them which leaves a few commuters bemused.
Another series of circular strolls around Westminster Station and I again ask if they're following me. They agree they are. I ask why. They tell me they are here to assist me. I point out that I never asked for their assistance, that I can manage well by myself, that the best way they can assist is by leaving me alone, and that I consider their attention to amount to harrassment. We leave the station and set off to the Houses of Parliament, where I start singing (loudly) "I'm being followed by TWO FAT COPPERS!"
They slow right down and I spot an opportunity to give them more exercise, so jog off leaving them in need of a sprint to keep up. Arrive at Horseferry Road, grab a TV cameraman and take him over to the coppers, where I introduce them to the cameras and tell the journo about how "helpful" they have been
The breakfast is great, nice weather, great food, brilliant crowd and it is a real buzz when critical mass turn up. HURRRRRAAAAAH.
Time comes to pile into court, but we have time upstairs to watch the breakfast through the windows. Didn't half cheer me up!
I don't get followed after court, though others do. Spend the day hanging out with mates, watching telly and really wishing I could enjoy some of the action, but sit it out as i know being arrested won't help me today!!!
Of course I miss an ace afternoon and evening, but it all ends well and coverage in the press today wasn't too bad. Wonder how they'll be remembering it by next Mayday :-(
Lots of inspiring stuff has happened with the Festival of alternatives, and it'll be great if we can keep the impetus up.
Oh and for the FIT BOYS, I'm working on a chain-gang song for our next little outing! Wanna join in?
